DBA

I have My LLC i tried to upgrade to a business account from individual. I clicked personal then edit to upgrade from individual to business. Then i clicked single member LLC clicked and the next page says Business name address, EIN Phone number, etc and then theres a column the says DBA I am just by myself do i need to do anything with that? i left it blank and cant go to the next screen. Im confused.

DBA means doing business as …they want the name of your business 


If you're selling as a Registered Business (Sole proprietor/Single member LLC, Corporation/Multi member LLC, Partnership), you'll need to provide:

  • Individual identification information for beneficial owners, officers, directors, or account managers
  • Legal business name
  • “Doing Business As” (DBA) name (if you have one)
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Business address
  • Phone number
