Customized Invoice

How do I change the information in my customized invoice that I send to customers?  There is text in the auto-generated invoice that you send, that I want to change, and I can't figure out how to do it.  *NOTE* the simple directions found in help articles isn't it!  So don't waste your time copy and pasting the help article on how to change the invoice, it only explains how to change the price and shipping stuff, it does not talk about the custom text that is sent in the email that doesn't even show up on that edit portion before you actually send the invoice....   Note the text from the email (the text in the blue box), that's what I want to change... and note that it does not show up on the "Send Invoice" page....   If I put something in the instructions on the "Send Invoice" page to see if it wipes out the other text, it doesn't send the email...?

Is that text in the blue box something you entered previously (years ago) as a standard message on all of your invoices @stacy_pme ? If it is, I think all abilities to edit that info have been removed from seller settings. I believe it used to be on this page, but as you can see, no longer an option. A lot of the custom communication options have been taken away (e.g., adding a note the buyer receives in the order confirmation email).

 

If that's old info in your account based on settings and features no longer available, then this will likely requiring contacting customer service and having them escalate to a team that can delete the text on the back end.

 

Unless @shipscript has any other thoughts here, I think you'll need to contact CS.

Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions short of more testing, as I've never seen this before. I am also interested in whether that old messages was something you wrote, or something eBay wrote as a default message.

 

You mention that writing your own new message prevents the invoice from being sent. Is the "Send" button not clickable, or does nothing happen when you click it?
