With the high unemployment rate in this country due to covid, the fact that we are paying for terrible customer service based i belive in the Phillipines has become unbearable. I think the time for a change is now. We need to be more public, let the country know america needs jobs and Ebay is paying foreign workers to boost profits at the expense of everyone who uses there services. Enough is enough. I pay Ebay on average $800 a month in fees, this is insane. I have 100% customer satisfaction rating, My problems are 100% with Ebays terrible service. The tine is now. I would not vote for Trump but dont you think he might get on his high horse and start demanding change!!! Enough is enough! Ebay is a monopoly!!!

I agree. Especially if you have a complex issue. With all due respect, the overseas CS agents are totally useless most of the time. Just getting them to understand the problem, let alone solve the problem. Perhaps ebay should consider keeping them around for simple "how to" questions from members but also have a US based staff available for when you have a complex issue?

Ebay is NO "monopoly". There are plenty of similar sites out there. Some better than others. They do not have the market cornered for this type of site. You may have issues with them, but that doesn't make them a monopoly.
The customer service certainly has been an issue. And for obvious reasons the call centers can't reopen just yet. But we do now have better CS than we did a couple months ago. You can ask ebay to call you back about an issue. That is helpful. I'd steer clear of Ebay on social media because there is where people flocked to for help and they are significantly overwhelmed and responding slowly because of the sheer volume.
