Customer service is a waste of time

I am not even sure there really is customer service. They can never do anything. They can not tell you who can help. They do not relay information.

I cannot wait until my last items are cleared and I can never use ebay again.

Sad. Had an account for years when they first started and it was fun, cheap, and easy. No fun left.

Billions of dollars and they act like it just fell from the sky and abuse and mistreat the ones who actually made the money for them. Just a hedge fund owned and operated golden goose on autopilot for the rich I suppose.

Good riddance worthless eBay and even more worthless customer service

Customer service is a waste of time

I've never had a problem contacting eBay.

A lot of people complain about using the outsourced support, but I find them helpful, I just have to tell them what to do and explain the policy.

The chat and call back options typically have estimated windows for me between 1 to 5 minutes.

Can you return here and explain what kind of help you need and what you've done so far?

Yeah, I've never had a problem with eBay's customer service either. The thing people need to keep in mind is that there are some things customer service CAN'T do, so calling/contacting them for those things is never going to end with any results.

But when I've contacted them with an issue they can do something about, they've always resolved it very quickly.

Assuming that you are primarily a buyer, have to ask if you're aware of eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers?

I assume you're unhappy with the bookcases you bought from China.  Did you open an INAD case, or what?

Most problems and questions can be answered here. Might not be what you want to hear, but much quicker to get to the bottom line.

What is the beef?

Are they holding your funds from the silver bar sale? It looks like you haven't sold in a while, and recently had about $600 in sales. That has been a red flag and eBay has been holding funds to make sure everything's kosher.

@rmt0-83
The phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

The overseas reps are in the Philippines and my Philippina relations tell me that call centre jobs are relatively well paid and can hire their pick of well educated intelligent workers.

They do have limited authority.

The US reps are minimum wage and have high turnover. Also limited authority, but less interested in solving problems.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

Even though you have a No Returns policy, you can demand the return of a disputed item before refunding.

And if you got a chargeback for Item Not Received , eBay will support you when you put the Proof of Delivery into the Claim.
Yes, even though they already have it.

Coins are a high fraud category.

They do if you don't know the policies.

I call them I'm like.

Okay, I have INR, tracking shows delivered. I need you to close in seller favor. -Done.

Hello, seller hasn't responded within 3 days please escalate and put on 5 day hold and notify seller to provide label -Done

Hello, sellers return address is in a different location than item location on listing and its significantly different. This is a violation of eBay policy. I need you to escalate and close in buyer favor. -Done

Etc.

With the outsourced help its better to read the help documents so you can guide them.

They work well for me.

I've had them call me- those are employees not call centre clerks though.

It went well- dealing with setting up Managed Payments accounts here in Canada.

The OP didn't say they couldn't get ahold of CS, they just didn't like what CS had to say about whatever situation they called them about.  Or they felt CS wasn't giving them enough information.  But it appears they are fine on how to contact Ebay.

It may be that you simply disagreed with that they said to you, so you aren't acknowledging that they gave you any information.  That often happens.

If you want to give us details on what the problem is, we very well may be able to help you.  Why not give it a try!!!
