Where are customer email addresses stored now on ebay ?
I use them to collate a data base of customers who get emailed once or twice a year I can't do that now unless I contact every seller direct to ask for their email address,
Why is ebay becoming more seller unfriendly

They are not.
And it just as well. I suspect that most buyers would not want to receive what amounts to SPAM from every buyer they have every bought from.
Now, in fairness, buyers can click on "sellers you follow" and add your self (voluntarily) to a sellers mailing list.
But DO NOT arbitraily add me on your own.

Thanks,
I sell a very niche product and not in the habit of sending shed loads of emails out , maybe one or two a year so its def a step backwards for me.
Also the emails sent all have a opt out button which is pretty easy enough to click on and they are then removed from my lists which is their loss as I usually send out an annual reminder which is quite specific to the product and also discount vouchers.
Hey ho ano nail in the coffin

@1stoppinball You may not send out shed loads of email, but you are only one in millions of sellers, and eBay has to set policy for those millions of sellers...many of whom might spam which, as mentioned, can mount up to a lot of seller spam. And more than a few sellers are relentless, as I've found from other marketplaces.

Very true so its the email each one and ask if the want to be added is the only option

I suspect eBay removed the option for you to glean e-mail addresses, because they don't want you to do business with their buyers outside of eBay. EBay wants to make sure they get their cut. Just a guess.

I suspect you've hit the nail on the head , some of my products are not viable to sell on ebay once you put the 15% on top that you have to for fees and % of postage that they take

It has been a while since I’ve tried it, but if you archive an order, then go to archived orders and click on the transaction, the buyer’s email will be shown.

Does this archive order trick still work to reveal the buyer's email address? When I go to archived orders and click on the transaction I don't see any email address, where is it?

I understand why Ebay does this. They don't want you taking transactions off the site. You would not have that customer had it not of been for the site. So they want you to keep your transactions on the site with customers they introduced you to. Just basic business.
You have 105 followers. It really is best to just send them a promotional email through Ebay. You do that via Ebay. And you know the buyers want the email as it is why they are following you. This is a safe way to accomplish what you want to do.
If you insist on having the buyer's email. Once you have a transaction you are allowed to send them a message and exchange contact information.

You can include a friendly note with the purchase, in writing, on paper, with your own email on it and a current price list.
Most eBayers sell on several sites, often including their own.
