Custom Label (SKU) Field can't be edited on items with active offers

Trying to organize my inventory and want to move an item from one location to another but I am unable to modify the custom SKU I use for inventory control on any items that have an active offer.

I believe this field should be editable at all times as it is internal to my systems.

Since that field is not public-facing, I agree it should be editable regardless of open offers or auction bids. Unfortunately that's not how eBay has it set up.

On the top right of the listing form (on the website) there's usually a link that says something like comments or feedback or tell us what you think. Click on that link and submit feedback about this and it will go to the product developers.
