My sales have been terrific up until the last few days. All of a sudden they have died and I am sure it is not due to anything other than the uncertainty that is going on now in the economy.

It is Christmas. Perhaps people are broke from buying presents, or they are with family and friends enjoying the holidays, or are on vacation.

There are peaks and valleys in online sales, and the reasons are often complex and sometimes mystifying (especially on eBay). I agree that uncertainty in the economy can have a serious impact, though my sales have not felt it this season.

The best deals have been cherry picked. What's left over looks over priced for the average buyers so yes, your sales will continue to be less as time goes on. It is actually very common for many sellers. Also the last two weeks of the year people tend to have lots going on and don't come to Ebay as often during those items.

People were likely more concerned with being ready for Christmas than for shopping for things that absolutely could not arrive before Christmas. I think a great deal of us saw that drop off too.
Speaking for myself. The after Christmas sales through about most of January are typically the highest selling times for me. The last couple of days have been really good, I'm hoping it continues.

In my categories, people are buying for themselves not for others, and it has been my experience that collectors who spent their December "allowance" on gifts for family and friends will be back after Boxing Day with pent up needs.
You're in your first year of selling here and were lucky enough to join while there was a "pandemic surge" in online selling.
But if you have ever run a retail collectibles business, check your monthly records and see where you got unexpectedly high sales.

My sales are very slow from Septmeber. I don't remember such sales from 2008 year.
