Obviously absolutely nobody like when fees go up....... but when simultaneously the product and the customer services goes down..... it makes no sense.
Has anyone seen any actual improvements to the site this year?.... not just changes but actual improvements?
Just looked at our 1099-k from ebay and wouldn't you believe it!- $15,000 less in sales this past year with all the site "improvements".
It seem more like ebay causes disruptions with all the unnecessary site changes and sales go down so the answer is to raise fees to cover the effect of the bad decisions...... does nobody ever take responsibility for the actions anymore? How to the CEO's an management still take millions in bonuses while the platform relevancy decreases?
One nice feature they made was the repeat buyer notification- that was helpful- but does not counteract the bad search engine and promoted listings debacle they have created- no buyer wants unrelated junk shoved down their throat when they search- JUST GIVE US 100% of the results that match our keywords!, not what some slightly **bleep**ed AI system thinks we want to see.

Nope , however ebay should begin rolling back fees and any related costs. They have made a mess of the platform, with things not working and less than stellar ideas. They are costing both sellers, buyers many issues that are a hinderance of commerce. They create off the wall ideas that are unneeded and do not work. They have duped many of you into the "Promoted" listing option (not free) so your stuff will sell....well wait a minute is that not what you signed up for here to sell you items? So why would you pay twice for the same service, it is ebay who should be out there promoting ebay and its sellers!

For the past three years ebay makes the same profit I do on my sales. It’s about a 20 percent profit sometimes more sometimes less. That’s better than many other investments I could put my money in right now. Volume sales is the key to making money here. It’s tough depending on your cost of goods. Shipping has gone up considerably and that has to be factored in as well as the rising costs of goods and fees to sell. The consumer has to take the brunt of a lot of this. I pay more for groceries and everything else so buyers on Ebay do the same.

No kidding!! So I have to charge more on Ebay to buy those things. LOL!

You know those folks at ebay have to buy all those high priced groceries and gas too.

Nope not really they are still quite distinct from AMAZON.

Maybe if they got their search function working, they'd have one actual tent pole to hang this on.

Correct. Anything I buy here or anywhere else has gone up substantially over the years.

No. I have not seen ANY improvements for the seller. All I see is a increase in scams from Buyers with 0 or low feedback scores. They use the products for 3-4 weeks then return it claiming it was defective. This platform is a complete waste of time and I'll never sell or buy anything on here again.

Well somehow those using promotions heavily have an edge on buying goods at a better price therefore they are willing and able to pay the promotion fees. Some may use the promotions sparingly to draw attention to their other items and they spend less overall for promotions but may still do great with sales on their other items.

The people that promote heavily in my product line overprice themselves so much that I get more sales. That’s a hoot!!!!

Can you show us the impressions graph from marketing tab?

I didn't know the 'increase' was because of 'improvements'???
Did chickens do something miraculous that their eggs went from .18c each to .75c each?
Did the apartment get bigger for the extra 35% increase they hit tenants with last year?
Did the Gasoline Companies start giving 'much better' gas so you can go 'further' with their 100% increase last year?
Doesn't matter. It is what it is.
Use it and pay or just quit using it.
Move to a smaller place or further from work. Take the bus. Don't eat eggs anymore.
And for sure, don't try to sell anything on this site because it might cost you an extra .35c to sell a $100 item.

”Ebay is interested to weed out underperforming sellers and sellers that do not generate much revenue.”
Ebay is capable of quickly and undetectably make you belong to a group of underperformers.

Fee increases do not automatically come with improvements.

To be clear, an investment does not require constant work to produce profit. You generally invest your money and wait for your payoff. With eBay, it's a J.O.B. You can't just order inventory and magically double your money. You have a LOT of work from buying to your payout.
An investment is buying and holding precious metals, stocks, bonds, IRA's etc. Those things pay a return for putting your money into it. eBay requires sweat equity.
I get the point you are trying to get it, but you are comparing it to the wrong thing. You should be comparing eBay to a job. Because both require copious amounts of work to see money in return. Besides, when you sell an investment, its over. You made your money. With eBay, after a sale, 179 days later, you may lose every dime, AFTER that sale.
