Creating a variation listing with variation photos and individual prices.

I decided to try creating a listing that offered variations to save me the hassle of creating a separate listing for multiple similar items. Example,  I have Goebel angel ornaments. The color and dates vary. I did everything for the listing, including uploading individual photos for each variation as well as individual pricing for each. I hit save, which takes me back to the primary listing where NONE of my variation photos or prices are there. No Photos and 0 is showing for the price. The eBay help page says adding 3 photos for each variation is best so... that's exactly what I did. I did this 3 times and I see nothing I'm doing incorrectly. Contacted eBay chat and was speaking with an agent who said I can only enter 1 photo per variation and THAT was the problem. Sounds like **bleep** to me. And, it wouldn't account for why all the pricing disappears. Does anyone know why this is happening? I've wasted 3 hours on this and could have already done each as a separate listing by now. I'm so frustrated! Thanks for your insight!

I start as a Single Listing, NOT multiple listings.  Not too far down, on the listing page, is a Create Variations button.  Are you using that?

CS is 100% wrong about 1 photo. Never contact CS with this stuff.

 

You uploaded photos to each variation, but did you also upload at least one photo for the general listing? After entering pricing, etc, did you save the changes?

 

Are you getting error messages? Can you post screenshots to help diagnose the problem?

I haven't experienced anything like what you are describing. Can you provide screenshots? I'm sure once you do, we can help fix our issue here.

 

And to concur, the CS agent was totally misinforming you.
