Creating a DVD lot or bundling DVDs

I would like to bundle dvds to sell similar dvds in one lot.  Or list DVD series with the drop down menu where buyers can select titles.  How do I do this?  I've been selling DVDs  and Blu-rays for several years but have never tried selling LOTs.

It is called a Variation Listing.

They are a little complicated to learn sometimes, so take your time.

If you want to bundle multiple items in "one lot".    Just type LOT of 20 in title line and when you create listing go to SEE PRICING OPTIONS and select SELL AS LOT.

Bundling or selling as a lot is different than a variation listing.   First the category (DVDs) must allow variation listings for you to even do this.  If I recall correctly, you must also start a "new" listing as opposed to using a sell similar or sell one like this feature.

Variation listings typically refer to the SAME item with different colors or sizes that a buyer can choose.  For instance a Tee Shirt where a buyer can choose a red one in a size L  or XL.  It is not for a list of books, with different titles/authors.  One could, however, make a "lot" or "bundle" of books sold together for one price.

I use the variation listing style a lot for many items I sell, including movies on DVD.  You can easily search and find examples of how these are done.

Biggest thing is to setup your listing with consistency and keep it simple.  For example, I use a photo of the front, the back and the inside of each DVD I list.   There is some time in setting up a large listing like that.

Otherwise using a bulk option, you can setup a "bundle" of movies to sell at a single package.  But that may limit your traffic.

Also you should be aware, that most listings average out at around 5 bucks total for each movie sold.  That includes shipping costs.  I don't know how some do it and still make a profit, but even I sell single ones at 6.99, but then if you buy more than one I get it down to just under 5 each.

So keep in mind, profit on used DVDs makes it nearly worthless to invest much time or energy into it.  If I sell a single movie, I might make about a $1.50, after fees and shipping.  But if I sell say 2, I get about $2 per movie.

Unless you have a rare version or hard to find movie, you aren't going to make much on 99% of titles.

You are wasting your time trying to squeeze dollars out of essentially worthless merchandise. The value of 99 percent of DVDs has essentially gone to zero. That multi-item listing will not be worth your time and you will struggle to sell bundles for anything at all.

I sold all my DVDs in one lot 2 years ago to a local buyer for 25 cents each and I was thrilled to get rid of them. They were just taking up valuable shelf space while they eroded in value every single day.
