What tools are you needing to write your descriptions?  Ebay gives you many tools.  You get to add pictures, a written description, the cost, shipping costs?  What is it that you feel is missing?

Here's a great tool for you:

https://academy.ebay.com

This is the seller school that Ebay offers to all new and would be sellers.  Lots of valuable tools there that can give you some insight on creating an effective and detailed listing.

I wish you good luck should you choose to enroll.

Re: Creating Description

I've been listing for years.  Just tried to use the new listing tool and was disappointed that you can only use three font sizes in the description text box with the smallest being size 14.  C'mon.  That flat out sucks.  I usually sell similar when adding a new listing and modify accordingly.  When I go to edit the description box, the text auto sizes to 14 (from 12).  Now the description looks like like a hodge podge of different sized text.  Like that's going to help me sell my item.

I understand the need for periodic change.  But taking away formatting options I've been using for years and not allowing me to use the previous tool to maintain consistency in my listings is just poor development.

Re: Creating Description

Write your description in Word then copy paste it into eBay listing form. Some messing around may be necessary to get it right, but at least the hassle of writing it in eBay's  window is eliminated.  It's what I did for too many years.

Enjoy the go.
