Create listing would not allow me to put in the correct date for an antique bicycle brochure.

I listed under bicycles. The brochure is an 1897 Remington bicycle brochure. The "create a listing" only goes back to the year 1900 and I was not allowed to put in my own date. I had to choose and none of the dates given are correct. How can a billion dollar business have such dumb glitches?

Try -1900 or pre 1900.

- or pre in front of 1900 doesn't work. Some categories allow me to write in the date for item specifics and other categories don't allow it so apparently the bicycle category has this glitch that doesn't allow me to write in the right date. Too bad, because for each glitch eBay loses money and so do the sellers. A billion dollar company needs proof readers to make sure that every category works fine.
