I am wondering if any of you would like to share your experience with coupons. Sales have been slow, so have been thinking of trying them. However, it does seem confusing. Can I send one coupon to a customer who has already purchased? Or, do I have to send them to everyone once I create a coupon, etc. Just wondering if it is worth the trouble to learn the system; does it help with sales or is it just one more expense to tac onto shipping costs, commissions, etc.?

I glanced over your active and sold listings. With the product you sell, I would switch everything to fixed price format, then use promotions manager to create shipping discounts. Flat or free ship when you buy X many or spend $X kind of thing.
I don't use coupons because the system doesn't allow enough targeting for my needs, but our product is very different as is our number of listings, sales volume and buyer base so take that with a grain of salt.

It's extremely easy and straight forward how to send coupons, in fact if you go to your sold items under the drop next to the buyer their is an option to send them individually a coupon. You can create buyer groups and send out bulk coupons as well which you should be doing to drive sales. Doesn't really make sense to pick and choose who gets a coupon. Assuming you want more sales & to make more money then why not send out as many coupons to as many people as you can? You can also create a public coupon that anyone can you on the inventory that you select. You should do that as well to help drive sales. We have several different coupons for repeat buyers & public coupons. Helps drive sales which in turns makes me more money.

Thanks for your help. I am wondering about the cost of promoted sales when most of my items are fairly low priced. I will have to study further. It just looks like promoted sales cost a lot.
