The country of Myanmar missing from 'Country/Region of Manufacture' drop down that you'd see when creating a listing - WHY?
The answer isn't Burma because that's not on the list either.
The answer might be this country is on a list of 'rogue' countries that the US doesn't do business with including
Myanmar
North Korea
Iran
Cuba
I believe their is a 5th country, or maybe more, as I came across this situation in another life in the '90's
I may have just answered my own question but what other countries are missing? Just a bit of trivia at this point as I listed whatever I was trying to list.

Although it's not on the current list (maybe it was lifted and ebay hasn't caught up?) Myanmar has long been a trade embargo country for human rights violations. It's not an ebay rule, it's national trade laws. Think Syria, North Korea, yeah we can't ship to some places.

Because eIS doesn't ship there, there are other countries eIS doesn't ship to as well. There's probably issues with customs regulations I imagine.

I'm assuming if the US State dept says not to visit, it's likely a place where I would want to ship to unless I liked giving stuff away for free at a cost

You need to provide some more details. I took a look at a few of your listings and for a lot of them you are only shipping to Canada and the US. When you say missing what exactly do you mean by that?

I'm enrolled in eBay's Global Shipping Program so I thought my listings were available to be shipped wherever. I personally only ship to Canada and the US. If that is not how shipping works then I am so very very confused.
Myanmar is not available to be selected as 'Country of Origin/Manufacture'

If you are using EIS then you may be doing yourself a disservice by just selling to the US and Canada. The seller protections, once the item has been delivered to the EIS hub, are pretty comprehensive and FAR exceed the seller protections for domestic sales.
Prior to EIS I severely limited the countries I would sell/ship to but with EIS I have expanded that to virtually worldwide other than those countries there are issues with. oaktoncardinal listed a few of those and there are also the current sanctions against Russia and the Ukraine but those buyers have figured out a way around those.
There are also very few ways to ship an item to Myanmar.

I realize that your original post is related to country of manufacturer in item specifics, not about where you ship to and I don't know the answer. But since it was brought up where you ship to, I checked a few of your listings and a lot of them just have shipping to a few countries only even though they are using EIS. You might want to check your shipping policies and/ or shipping exclusions as your listings do have a lot of shipping exclusions that EIS does not override.
If you want to give Canadians the option of using usps or EIS, then you can set that up for each listing but you want to remove the other exclusions if you want the EIS to ship there for you.
