I ran across a seller that has nothing but counterfeit items for sale and the person has 6 negatives/neutrals strictly for selling counterfeits. Why is this seller allowed to remain on ebay peddling their fake products?

That is a very good question. In the past I have not had very good luck getting another seller's counterfeit wares off the site. But if you are around at about 1:00 PM PST today, come over to the Weekly Chat and post this question. It will get the highest chances of actually getting something done.
If you aren't familiar with the weekly chat, it can be extremely handy and there is one most weeks between 1 and 2 PM PST on Wednesday. Here is a link for your ease. This weeks is closed now, but it will open in about 1 hour 10 minutes.

Are they from china? If so, there is your answer.

Ebay makes lots of money from the counterfeiters so Ebay could care less

There are PLENTY of US sellers that practice this form of selling. Certainly there are Asian seller too as it is a worldwide problem.

Oh, I know, but a lot of those are really in china. But yes, some real USA sellers do it also.
But what I said is the first thing to look for.

Maybe so, I don't have any idea what the numbers are. Every counterfiet seller I've ever reported over the years were US sellers. None of which lost their accounts within any reasonable time from my reporting them nor did Ebay take down listings. At least not during the period of time I would watch their accounts for a few months after that. They all just continued with business as usual it appeared and continued selling the same counterfiet products. I don't remember any of their IDs anymore as I gave up on reporting them long ago.

I'm sure the products were made in China, but the seller's location is listed as New Jersey. In the past month they have 79 positive, 1 neutral, & 3 negative, yet they still have "top rated seller" status. I reported everything that I knew to be fakes to ebay and sent links to the manufacturer that's being counterfeited, but I'm pretty sure I've reported those same listing several times already.

The rules changed several months back or more. Negative and neutral FB does not count against sellers in their stats that determine their Seller Status.

They had 5 stars on everything, so that explains that.

What is the delivery time? That is another tipoff that you are getting something from overseas.
All they need is a tiny office in NJ or CA or wherever and they can say US seller. But most items will come from china.

The DSRs don't count against a seller's stats either for the porpose of determining their Seller's Status. You may want to take a closer look at your Dashboard and study the links that are on the dashboard that explains how the numbers are aquired. As a seller, this is something you need to be very intimate with and make sure you understand or you could damage your account without knowing your action caused it.

Also it should be noted that just because something is manufactured overseas does NOT mean the seller is a dropshipper OR a seller from outside the USA but stating they are in the USA. It ONLY means the product is manufactured outside the USA.
Some of the craft supplies I sell are manufactured outside of the USA but I stock my own items and sell them from my home in the USA. This is true of lots of sellers in fashion, jewelry, electronics, etc. It is NOT an uncommon thing as so much is manufactured outside the US. The simple fact is is manufactured outside the US does not mean it is a fake. It simply means it is manufactured outside the USA.

That's definitely true, but I'm 100% certain about the one's I'm referring to being fake. They're not even modeled after a product that the particular manufacturer makes. Just some junk with a reputable company's name and logo on it.
