Counter offer error

I am trying to make a counter offer to a buyer who made an offer, but every time I send the offer it says “there is and issue processing your request”. I’ve tried it on both my phone and computer and nothing is working. What should I do?

Sign out, clear your browser cookies cache and history and try again.

In addition to the above, check your interested party's feedback page to be sure eBay hasn't nuked his account. (If so, it will show "Not a Registered User" next to his ID on his feedback page.)

That big-ticket listing of yours may attract scam buyers using throwaway accounts, who will contact as many sellers as possible before eBay catches on and craters the account.

I signed out/signed back in but I also relisted the item and it worked. Not sure which one did the trick but I was able to send a counter afterwards!
