I am an intermediate seller with over 400 sales or something, and I was looking to sell a big ticket item for 1,750. It got a bid, then a day later was taken down and my account suspended. It was a makeup product and I didn't include any company names in the title, description, or tags. Could it have been because I included the company name in a picture of the listing? Thanks.

Why wouldn't you put the name in the title if it was a legit product from that company?

Or were you trying to do some end run to fly it under the radar?

What did the message from Ebay say?  That should tell you why it was removed.

Without further info, I can only guess it was either a counterfeit item, expired, or a VERO take down by the company who made the make up as you are not an authorized dealer.

Please come back and say what the message says and people may be able to help you better.

Is your suspension permanent or temporary?

I remember I bought some tapes at a flea market once.  I thought they were Memorex as they looked just like them.  Got them home and found out they were MEMEX.

You're not really giving us enough to work with.  I can't imagine a makeup item being priced over $1,500.00

What brand?  What type of item?  Something that required some sort of license maybe?

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Did you receive any notification at all prior and after this happening?

Copyright takedown occurs when you use someone else’s photos or text. Did you do that?

And what was the purpose of not using the brand name?

Yup.  My question exactly.

Why omit the brand name in the title unless you are trying to hide something.

You might want to have the mods take down your other thread that was created. Could get confusing with responses.

If it's the anti-aging device you previously tried to sell, I suspect there is more to this story.  That manufacturer apparently is quite zealous about its products not being sold online.  Had you received previous warnings?

What kind of make up product is $1,750!?!

And suspended right away? Plus you still have an active listing... unless you have another account you are talking about?

This is all very bizarre... something doesn't add up here....

I looked after your last post.

Somehow I was reminded of that gadget they used to have in shoe stores to x-ray your feet for better sizing.

I suspect that the makeup wasn't made by the company whose name is on the packaging.

It sounds like the OP listed it the first time with the brand name and relisted without using the brand name in an attempt to stay under the radar.

It sound like ebay made a good decision!

It's not makeup.  It's some kind of electronic blinkey light gizmo.

I had to google it and it does cost a lot more than what the OP had it and there are still some on eBay listed for top dollar (4,500).

I am at the "aging" stage of my life and for that kind of cash and/or credit, I will just age gracefully 😉

@hunt-arno - Not sure why the item was removed and your account suspended, but maybe if you copy the email here, perhaps you could be better assisted.  Just remove any personal info like real name, etc.
