What Software? The Apple OS? (Apple claimed violation). The OS and other software are not copies in this case. Is it a violation to sell a computer or hard drive with an OS and/or Microsoft Office on it?

To further clarify I own the OS and the software included is valid. I am not selling product keys. Is it actually a violation to sell a computer with Microsoft Office or a Mac OS on it? Or is that only for Hard Drives?

Ebay needs to hose down their Bots and quit tweaking their algorithms. I bet I have had to call several times a week for the past 3 weeks because of changes and errors. I have been with them since they began. I just listed a post here showing that their make offer has a glitch now. I called a few days ago on not being able to mail a book media mail as it stated it was listed in the wrong category. I guess publications is not a category to sell books in? Seriously. I could name a few more, but if eBay is watching these posts, please do something. Ah yes, I know it is gospel here that eBay staff does not read these, but guess again. When on eBay they see all, or at least what they want to. This from a recently retired IT Mgr of over 35 years with one of the largest companies in the world.

Not knowing how the listing was worded I can only guess. Was the software on the original computer or was it added later by you? I don't know if that matters, but if was on the computer, as most computers have Microsoft Office and other software pre-loaded, then ebay does allow it as per their policy;
"OEM, bundled, or recovery software may be listed only if it is included along with the original hardware, such as the motherboard, hard drive, or computer sold with the OEM software"
Perhaps the ebay "bots" (programming) erroneously flagged it because of the mentioned software included on the computer. Seems like ebay makes this kind of error a lot, and you can't fight "Artificial Intelligence" because it is often Artificial Ignorance, and like I was told once by a corporation concerning a error that their computer made;
"Computers don't make mistakes."

You DO NOT "own" the software....you have a License to use it and that license does not include reselling it.

It isn’t a bot, at least not an EBay not They were reported by someone at Apple! And what is the violation? That the hard drives had Apple OS?
