I do not know what to do about my cookbooks. I have been selling on ebay since around 2000. The books are not selling. Is anyone else having a problem with their books not selling? I don't want to leave ebay, but I think I am wasting my time and space on the site. Does anyone know of another site that sells books that is worth my time?

The Libraries may not be accepting books due to the Covid19 epidemic. I think they will start accepting the book donations, hopefully soon. They still have book sales. They will need books for them.

Every year (except last spring and this spring ) college students organize and 'run " free book giveaway
I hope this coming spring they will do it again but it does not look good at this point
I have not noticed many cookbooks at the sale though

What a great story - thanks for sharing that!
When my GGran passed, no one seem to know what went in a lot of the recipe favs. She kept horrible records and did everything from memory - 12 kids and no one seemed to think to ask.
So we started a "quest" to find this one dessert she always made and I ordered so many church lady cookbooks trying to figure it out. We finally found a bunch of her recipes on index cards that was in a box of Christmas cards she had saved. I have been slowly selling off from that quest collection! LOL
I have the Betty Crocker cookbook (the picture book one) from 1961. I use it all the time, it was my Mom's. Best pineapple upside down cake recipe is from one of those types of cookbooks I bought recently from Windy (wendy) here on the boards!

What's a cookbook?
As easy as it is to find recipes online, I haven't needed a cookbook in 20 some years.

Did you find the dessert recipe that you were looking for? Just curious!

Thanks so much! Hopefully, there will be more cooks looking for cookbooks this winter!

"Mr. Chambers, don't get on that ship! The rest of the book, To Serve Man, it's... it's a cookbook!"

Millenials haven't been the new generation for a while, we're now 40 and able to cook for ourselves and our families.
I have friends who are GenZ and do cook a lot, there's actually a big resurgence in all things that used to be covered in home ec, shop and other crafts: cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, crochet, leather work, carpentry, etc. Millenials and GenZ are also getting rid of their smartphones and going back to more basic phones that only call and text...
I don't deny that delivery and take-out are popular options, but I believe they are popular across all generations, not a specific one.
