Policies can be changed, and they have been. You should read the current policies, which you have to follow now, because the ones that were in place before have been superseded. Videos are allowed if they comply with the rules. Links outside of eBay are not.
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that this is a debate, and that your conversations with eBay CS somehow affect the rules that you have to operate under.
