Complicated predicament, help?

So I was recently left a negative feedback for shipping costs being too high. Ebay reviewed it and deemed it against their policy and removed it.

Great. However, before ebay removed it I had been in contact with the buyer and they were wanting to work with me to change it..... etc a partial refund of some sort. Since ebay removed the feedback I haven't been in contact with them but they keep messaging me now. What should I do????

Block them from buying your items and don't answer them. They were just trying to extort money out you even though they knew what the costs were when they purchased.

Block them and you can block their emails and move on.

I have had buyers giving me positive feedback and want a refund. I just block them and move on.

I would be careful in responding to someone like this. Always be polite and business-like.

Sounds like the buyer used words not allowed on feedback.

Re: Complicated predicament, help?

And please don't 'work with them' to give a partial refund.  It sets a terrible precedent, there's no reason to, since they knew what shipping would cost & your account can easily handle a NEG, it does not hurt your acct standing with Ebay & 1 neg is certainly not going to keep people from buying from you.   There's just no reason to cave to their demands even BEFORE Ebay removed the NEG.

Glad you got it removed!

When the feedback was removed for the violation, the buyer received a message from ebay letting them know of the removal and violation. He/she KNOWS they were wrong!

That the buyer is still contacting you trying to extort a partial refund is ballsy! Block and ignore.

If you want another vote for "Block and ignore," you have it from me. 😊 You do not owe them any further contact.

You should Report this Buyer from the transaction view.  Let e-Bay know they continue to work to extort you as a Seller.

Make certain this Buyer's actions are on file for this transaction -  odds are not their 1st extortion rodeo, but reporting can work towards e-Bay making it their last.

And as others suggested, BBL this buyer.

Incredibly bad attempt to extort money from you by leaving the neg and then using that as a weapon to get you to fund them. Block all contact with the user.
