Every so often i get multiple orders to different buyers all going to ebay global shipping.
Has anyone packed and labeled each box, put them all in a larger box and just shipped to
eIS
110 Internationale Blvd
Multiple packages, open and seperate
Glendale Heights IL 60139-2080
Has it worked?
I costs me $7 to ship each box, but $8 if i put them in a larger box

@macman4623 wrote:That is actually done on a larger scale. Those bulk mailings for a new restaurant, replacements windows, etc, arent sent individually from the source, they come in a larger box, printed in route order, and delivered by the carrier one after another. There are actual different bulk rates depending on granular the items are sorted. The difference here is eis is a freight forwarder. I image some sellers get dozens of packages a day going to them and doing an overpack can save thousands a year. Kind of how amazon will take pallets for FBA sellers
You're argument reminds me of when my kids were preteens and teenagers and couldn't accept that they weren't allowed to do something. The arguments went from "everyone else is doing it," to "how are we supposed to grow, mature and make good decisions if we can't learn from mistakes," to "you are the meanest, strictest parents ever!"
Your arguments aren't going to change ebay's policy nor will it change the advice you've been receiving.
But if you're so convinced that it'll work, try doing the combined shipping with a note to "open and separate orders" and come back to tell us how it worked for you.

He will be able to buy a label with tracking for one of those purchases. He will then be unable to apply the tracking number to any of the other purchases because they were made by different accounts. If any of those other accounts file an Item Not Received dispute he will be unable to provide a tracking number and Ebay will require him to refund in full.

Technically the domestic shipping was included in the item cost. Its my responsibility to ship it the most efficient way. Also, the inner labels would have been labels applied , but unpaid labels, only the outer package would have been paid for.
If you lived in the chicago area and dropped off the package at the building with just the 7 digit evtn on the package, would it be processed?

Accept that you can't do what you want to do.
Hmm. Let me rephrase: You CAN do it but you should NOT do it. You will be out the money for all the buyers' purchases whose items you included in the single package.
And on top of that, you may find yourself without an ebay account on which to sell.

Don't do it if you want your orders delivered to the wrong country. Sounds like you want to line your pockets with even more coin from my vantage point - your buyer already paid for the shipping label. Simple question how would you handle a situation where all these items returned for what ever reason - broke, not as described, fake item, wrong item, not allowed in the country etc.
When in doubt do what is right is the best option and follow eBay instructions.

The postal worker would probably scan the barcode. They would be unable to issue you a refund and reluctant to push your claim up the food chain.
You have to pay for and print out the EIS label to generate the Export Declaration and seven digit number you refer to for the international leg of the journey. There is no policy, procedure or methodology to get a discount or refund on the domestic leg of the journey. Compose and post the message you intend to send to the buyer, the USPS or eBay so we can critique and proofread it.
When people think up a way to circumvent the system, it usually doesn't work. I have listened to countless schemes from one childhood friend, in particular, that went nowhere.

I love threads like this one.
It highlights the difference between sellers who believe in watching the pennies, and seller who believe in reducing risk.
Both commendable goals but certainly arguable, until one reads all of the relevant Ebay policy as @wastingtime101 has.

That would be asking for problems. Your buyer is already paying for the domestic shipping leg on your items as well as the international leg. Keep it simple ship the items individually.

Try it out and see if works. none of the sellers on this thread are doing it so they wouldn't even know if works out in the end. I'd suggest writing on the outside of the box something like " ebay warehouse employee you need to open this larger package and pull out all the boxes inside and then ship them individually so I can keep hundreds of dollars of shipping fees because I'm trying to keep the buyers shipping money , thank you - macman 4623" that way they will know that all those different packages are in the one package and it won't lead to confusion.
If eBay won't do this they probably made up some legalese in a board room about how if you were able to do this then you could just blame the warehouse for a package missing from the box and sending them individually assures that both you and ebay know the item made it to the warehouse. I suppose you could film yourself packing the items and putting them into their own boxes and then into the single box so that way if there was an issue you and an eBay customer service rep could sit through the entire video together and watch how they were all put into the box if their is ever a dispute between you and the warehouse about a missing item.

One heck of a risk to advise a seller to take. FYI the video will mean NOTHING if there is ever a dispute.

Back when eBay started two of my first sales were to a louisianan and a memphis river person and I live by the Mississippi river. as a businessman I figured out early that one of the best ways to make money on ebay is to do free shipping and the post office didn't know who I was at that time and wasn't willing to negotiate free shipping like I have now. I put both item onto a raft and told the memphis river person to keep an eye on the river and just let the louisianans item float down so they could keep an eye on the river. that's the problem with eBay today they are too rigid on their shipping requirements.
