Combining multiple orders from different buyers to ebay global shipping?

Every so often i get multiple orders to different buyers all going to ebay global shipping.

Has anyone packed and labeled each box, put them all in a larger box and just shipped to

eIS
110 Internationale Blvd
Multiple packages, open and seperate
Glendale Heights IL 60139-2080

Has it worked?

I costs me $7 to ship each box, but $8 if i put them in a larger box

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Also how long would you wait to ship them, to have enough products to put into 1 box?

No, and you cannot do this.  None of your buyers will receive their items and you likely will not be covered by eBay since they won't record the unique identifier as being received at the hub.

I have 2 of them right now. Each *inner* package would have the "evtn" on it. There was one day i had 3 orders going to the international hub

You ship them separate.

Have a great day.

Re: Combining multiple orders from different buyers to ebay global shipping?

If you receive multiple orders from different buyers you ship each individually to those buyers. Each order has an identifying number ( evtn) that is unique to each buyer. Putting all those items from different buyers in one box is a ridiculous idea and costly for you since you will receive INRs for each one and eBay won't be able to help because none of those items will show as being delivered to the hub.  You won't receive anything back.

Re: Combining multiple orders from different buyers to ebay global shipping?

Hi,

I am well aware of the evtn and those will on *EACH* inner box. My big question is if EIS will open an overpack box and ship the contents, or they wont see an evtn on the outer box and just return to sender. This happens 6-8 times a year for me and would save me $100 a year if i can just label the inner contents and have the instructions "open and separate" on the outer box

That's a lot of risk for maybe $100, unless your items are low value.

I would not count on them doing any extra work, in hopes it will save you a few dollars.

If I sold 2 different items to 2 different buyers in the same state, could I send them together in 1 box to save shipping, and just tell the post office to open and separate them before delivering?

Re: Combining multiple orders from different buyers to ebay global shipping?

That is actually done on a larger scale. Those bulk mailings for a new restaurant, replacements windows, etc, arent sent individually from the source, they come in a larger box, printed in route order, and delivered by the carrier one after another. There are actual different bulk rates depending on granular the items are sorted. The difference here is eis is a freight forwarder. I image some sellers get dozens of packages a day going to them and doing an overpack can save thousands a year.  Kind of how amazon will take pallets for FBA sellers

It is against the program T&C and you risk being kicked out of the program if you do it.

"You will not combine multiple orders (belonging to different Buyers) in a single package; "

Re: Combining multiple orders from different buyers to ebay global shipping?

There's usually a code on the label that corresponds to a particular customer/order.  If you combine them, it will send all your orders to that one customer.

@macman4623 : No, for the simple reason that you cannot assign the same tracking number to purchases by different buyers. Generally speaking, if one buyer makes multiple purchases, you can combine those into one shipment (though possibly not for eBay International Shipping; that may be an exception).

If purchases are made by two or more different buyer IDs, you cannot combine those and they cannot share the same tracking number, even if going to the same address (i.e. the domestic tracking number for the shipment going to Glendale Heights).

Re: Combining multiple orders from different buyers to ebay global shipping?

The buyer has paid for both the domestic and international legs of the journey. Suppose you pay an additional $8 dollars. Will the buyer, the USPS or eBay refund you the difference? If you would ask any of them for the money, they would refuse and point out that the buyer has already paid.

A package should have a number of scans before the Delivered scan in Illinois. If you put the $8 label and two more $7 dollar labels on the outer carton, it probably won't get the 3 scans you expect.
