So I set up a codeless coupon, see attatched photos as well. I never got the url to share with customers, and went to work on it again tonight and I see that everyone could see the promotion and it even shows I made money, so it really is available to anyone. (I have paused it)
It's not difficult to figure out, I thought, so why no link and why was it visible?
It says "Targeted offers or digital coupons allow you to provide an order discount to select buyers only. Your offer will not be visible to any general buyers on the site." Lol yeah no...

Just a quick question - why does it have a start time later than the end time - 2:36 vs 2:33?
It starts after it ends?
(Oh, I see it now - 10 years later) Duh!

Yeah, @wolfpawz . I feel your pain. I tried to do a similar thing. Wanted to send the coupon to past buyers. Told them it was an exclusive offer just for them. Ha! Not only could I not indicate *which* items were eligible for this offer, like you experienced, the offer was visible to everyone, everywhere, in every single one of my listings. Madness! I Luckily, the marketing message I sent to my buyers said the offer was available only for a limited time. I let it run for four days and just ended it and said to myself, "Well, won't be doing THAT again." 😞

@wolfpawzwrote:Wow, ok look, i had paused it in the seller dashboard, but it still shows active. I just clicked "put on hold", but you'll see here I didn't have any link to give.
Why is it so hard for them to implement a coupon code at checkout like every other place?
@wolfpawz Only way I could get rid of the thing was to end the promotion. If later you want to reactivate it, there is an option to "Copy" the offer through your "Manage Promotions" dashboard.

You can see it because you clicked on it 😞
I've done that in the past ... Click the offer just to see what it looks like ... It then follows you around like a lost puppy until it expires 😉
To get the URL, you have to view the offer and then copy-paste it. It's not very intuitive and you end up just clicking on it 😞
If you log out, you won't be able to see it ...

Hi, no...please see my screen shots, there was no link.
Everyone could see it, the way I found out was the 75.60 I made on this 'promotion', see above, then I looked at my orders and they all are discounted dispite me not giving anyone a link.
If you went to my listings, each one shows '10% off 5.00' as shown above.
There was no link to click on, that's part of my issue, and also shown in a screenshot, I clicked on 'view' as in the directions, and there was no link. I tried a few times setting this up.

Livadia, it's crazy. I've read other posts where this happened but there are no replies. It's simple steps, but there's something that makes it live to everyone.
And, am I blind or is there no way to contact eBay anymore about issues like this? I pay for a store and get no tech help? I can call I see, but my cell doesn't work that great here and we will get cut off.

The reason you may have seen other threads about this topic and no official resolution/answers/action by eBay is because these forums are member-to-member discussion boards that are only frequented once in a while by actual eBay staff member which posters here have come to call "the Blues' as their posts always have a blue border which makes them easy to find.
And, no. You're not blind. At one time, eBay offered a number of contact options to reach Customer Service. By phone, email, live chat, etc. They've discontinued all of that except assistance by phone.
Things are so silly here in these forums that no one is allowed to post the eBay CS 800# and trying to get it on the eBay site is ridiculous as they force you to go through a bunch of hoops answering often irrelevant questions just to be shown the number. If you need it, just Google it. It'll come right up.
If you don't want to/try to call due to your cell phone issue, here's another suggestion. eBay is on Facebook and though I've not tried it, many posters have said they've had success in getting answers/assistance from eBay staff who are assigned to that contact portal.
The page is called "eBay for Business." Here's the address on FB:
https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/
Don't know if you can do a live (text) chat with them, but there is a "Send Message" button at the top, right-hand corner of the page. There's also a "Call Now" button next to it which when clicked displays the eBay CS phone number if you don't want to Google it.
Hope this might help. Would also be interested if there's anything useful you may find out.
Good luck!

I always wonder why other eBay sites have live chat but we don't have that option.

Thanks for the help livadia. I'm still a bit shocked that I pay for a store with 0 help. You know if I call about this, i can't explain it, they need to see that it is showing and there was no code.
I did get a message to tech, but they weren't able to replicate it.
Well, imagine my surprise when I hopped on my husband's ebay app to help him find something and saw my items advertised for him. which is odd, he doesn't look at my ebay, nor do I from his app, anyway, I saw a competitor much lower, looked at their item, then mine. It still had the coupon on it!! I had 'paused' and 'put on hold'. As you said above, you had to delete it, I did, it's gone, but it is showing on different browsers, ipad and my phone. 😞
Is anyone else able to see it? I know about browsers and cache, I have cleared mine, restarted, it still is showing signed in or not. Photo is not signed in.

Yes, I can still see it. And, I went to eBay from a new computer that I have never logged into eBay on before AND with a brand-new browser that I've never used so it can't be a case of "it following me around because I clicked on the listing in the past."
I would call eBay and just keep it simple. Say: "Why is this offer on all of my listings? I want it taken off." And see if you can get anywhere.
If the customer service rep you talk to is clueless, ask your call be transferred to someone in Technical Services. I've been told the best time to get an American rep is between 11 am and 1 pm EST as eBay operates on PST. Try the above and keep us posted. Sorry you are having such issues. 😞
