Has anyone seen this new layout for listings? I have a button on my last listing called 'click button to view entire description'.
There is a completely blank screen unless one clicks that button. There is NO description of the item for sale until you click this button and then the description opens in a separate window.
What is this all about - an I in a test group?

It's already producing bugs. I closed the description box on my listing and it closed the listing also. I swear that eBay must dig for their talent at the local watering hole, and their only requirement is that your in the 50 percentile in reading.

They seem to stay up there until you mark the item "shipped"

"fuzzface - yours are NOT ok. I do not see your descriptions."
i just rechecked and they look fine to me and i also rechecked some of the other posters here and they are fine and did a generic search for clock, lego, coat and just picked a couple at the listing top and i see everything normal.
then i switched to google chrome and i redid some of the searches and came up everything normal for me there too, i still see description.
apparently this isn't involving everyone and i don't think it matters how you are connected.

I'm getting this as well... a horrible feature. Why hide something as important as the item description? On my laptop with a trackpad I like to use the arrow keys/page down to navigate pages quicker without a mouse/scroll wheel - but with the popup the arrows scroll the original page behind the description, and you're forced to use the scroll bar on the window to see the full description...

I am currently seeing two page layouts, both the old and the new, when viewing the same listing on two different computers at the same time.

I'm not seeing it (firefox).........but they tried something similiar about 4 yrs ago (?) when they were redoing the listing page.......
they had 3 tabs: description, shipping, seller terms (no popups)..........and you had to click on each to get that specific info.....
people screamed bloody murder and they dropped it..........so I suggest everyone do the "what do you think" everytime you encounter it...........
As I remember, the excuse then was for faster load time for the pages..........

I'm seeing listings "normally" using the latest Firefox and Safari on an iPad.
Kate, your photos (and items) are gorgeous!

Yep, all yours (and everyone else) that I've check on IE and Chrome are showing the description.
I saw someone else mentioned HTML earlier, I thought I read somewhere that wasn't supported on mobile.
Wonder if they're trying something new that might be able to accomodate everything on every format, maybe with an extra layer to get there.

I'm a buyer and every one of the listings I've looked at on all the sellers who have commented on this topic show the listings the same way... "See full item description" (then next to that it says "Tell us what you think") sssoooo...

I'm now suddenly seeing the same button thing on all of my pages starting today but ONLY when viewed in Firefox, in Safari and Chrome it displays correctly, so I have to assume something has been changed on Ebay that Firefox is now choking on, so the place to look for the fix is going to have to bethe firefox forums or a plug-in someone will probably come up with.
I do not use any mobile devices or phones to browse the web, I use a REAL computer, a tower and a full sized monitor.
