Christmas in July - does anyone do that?

I know sellers here and elsewhere sometimes will do a Christmas in July type sale event. Do people actually shop these? Reason I'm asking is for the first time ever I actually have some Christmas stuff to list and am wondering if I should be getting it ready now.

I'm waiting until closer to the holidays.

I sell seasonal all year round (though I tend to keep the 'good stuff' aside until the season starts)

I actually sell a fair amount of Christmas stuff year round.  It seems the more common stuff sometimes sells better now since there is less competition.  Also Christmas stuff, like kits or craft supplies, will do pretty well now since people need time to create...and you know I have the shipping boxes for it.Smiley Tongue

Yes - the Seasonal stuff which needs to be created will sell anytime. By the time the "season" is here it's too late.....

Thanks for the replies. I've never had Christmas stuff to list lol

I may put a few things up soon and see what, if anything, happens. I'm definitely putting them all out by October, though.

If you have the items and the listing space, I don't see why you shouldn't go for it!  I've sold seasonal items out of season before-- people definitely shop for that stuff all year round.

Yep. I've been selling Halloween stuff lately for some weird reason.

Yes, Christmas Does Sell - My Hallmark store is soooo excited - they actually have their Pre-Season Christmas Ornaments in the Back ready to be put out in their BIG JULY Christmas Event - Try to match the dates if you have Hallmark ornaments - then they sell!

I've done a Christmas in July sale for the past few years and always sell some items. People who make cards, gifts, and holiday crafts like to get started ahead of the holiday. I'm happy to help them out. grin

You invoked the giggle monster on that one...  🙂

Great! 45.8% down over the same time last year with 2x+ items listed. Are you impressed? I'm certainly not!
