I find myself always checking how many views or watchers are on my
ebay listings.
I check them about every 15 minutes.
I have a desktop computer at my
home.
Being retired, that is all I do all day.
Does anybody have any tips or tricks to prevent me from checking my ebay listings every 15 minutes.
I average about 30 listings per week.
Sincerly,

Does anybody have any tips or tricks to prevent me from checking my ebay listings every 15 minutes. OP
How can I when I do the same thing ? I think there's been times in our selling past when this behavior has been rewarding and so we keep going back just to see which has developed into sort of an OCD . Tulips

It will be a win-win for both you and for the dog that you rescue !
Puppies and young dogs need training, and walking 3 times a day, and quality play time, and quality snuggling time.
You can check your listings when your puppy or young dog takes his naps during the day.
Don't overlook senior dogs. They need loving, too.
I agree ..... I recommended a puppy or a young dog because they have a lot more energy, and they need more time to train ..... which would be a better distraction for the OP.
And if he can't do an actual adoption, he could always volunteer to foster home a dog from a local rescue group .... or volunteer to do other volunteer work for them, like help out at their local Adoption Events.

OMG, thats the perfect answer. Instead of checking ebay, the op will be getting up and down. Letting the dogs in an out all day, like me! Never give them a treat when the come in. Soon, they go out just to come back in and get a treat.

List those things on "the river" too and spend all your time checking there instead... problem solved lol.
If you are new to eBay selling, this is normal. Eventually you will settle down more and end up checking less on your own once your honeymoon period with eBay is over. If it doesn't get better, then like others have said it sounds like you have time for a new hobby or interest.
I check about 5-6 times a day, but this is my full time job. When things are slow I found myself checking a lot more often.

And checking to see if eBay has changed your listing without letting you know, like BO or lowering your price. Would love to see just once where they have increased your price.

Pinterest can be a fun "hobby". Create boards that correspond with your interests and add to them as much or as little as you like. You can also use your boards to promote some of the things you have for sale on Ebay.
Pinterest can also provide you with all kinds of ideas on places to visit on trips, projects and recipes to try.

You could be developing a compulsive disorder. You might need to see a doctor. It could get worse where you are checking every minute all day long.

Back in the day when Ebay was the only game in town - things could change quickly every 5 minutes let alone 15 - but these days you won't miss much if you just check once a day - in case a question comes in.
The suggestion about fostering an animal - especially a senior animal - is great. Give an animal a home to live out it's days in rather than spending it inside of a cage. The other suggestion about analyzing your listings is a good one too.
My suggestion is to watch some of the seller's who have youtube channels to see what's popular and selling - thus giving you a reason to check your listings more often. You'll be on the hunt for those items and it will give you something to do as well as make a little more cash.
