Check your listings that roll over every 30 days

Ebay rolled over one of my listings with variations with outrageously high numbers for the variations.  One had 56, one 45, one 36, etc.  and on and on.  Some of these colors/sizes I didn't even have one of the item.  Just caught it when the items started to sell.  Guess I better check all my items that roll over every single day.  Anyone else having this problem?

I have lots of variations listings.  This has never happened to me ..... although i have heard others complaining about this.

Thank you! I thought I was going nuts. This has been going on for a long time (months). I know I make mistakes but I couldn't believe that I was that careless since you get dinged for every error. I had 5 items in stock on Monday, sold 4 on Tuesday and 5 were still listed. At least I know what to do.

Same here - nearly 1,200 listings and inventories on variation items are a complete mess. Anyone heard when a fix will go in and the ETA? I've already had to begin canceling orders for items I cannot fulfill given bad inventory counts.

Thanks for the information.  Will have to go through and check if I have updated any variation listings in the past weeks.  What a mess!!

Is the system changing your variation QTY available when they roll over or only when you edit or revise them?

So far it's been reported that editing/revising them causes the glitch, but if it's actually treating a GTC rollover as a "relist" then that's a whole new worrying ball of wax.

There are many threads about this on the Tech Issues board btw.

Re: Check your listings that roll over every 30 days

At first I thought it was just rolling over into the next 30 days but now that everyone is indicating that  this happens whenever you update the listing, I think I did add one or two items to this listing.  I don't want to confuse anyone or alarm them of  another bug ...just thinking it's from the update now.

It's not just variation listings. MQ listings which have previously sold out are somehow being relisted with original qty available.

ebay needs to step up and not record OOS defects for sellers being impacted by this.

Re: Check your listings that roll over every 30 days

Ouch. I'd better check my recently renewed listings, as I don't even use any variations, currently (will have a few such listings with summer wardrobe items, later).

This may also explain why my 2 x 200 FREE listings (one with 61, and one with 42 left or so) overnight zero-d out and now I am down to just what is left from the 50 free monthly listings. I do not believe 103 items got renewed yesterday.

I have manually closed down almost 100 listings, and may not relist those here. This place is a hot mess! I wonder if this is done by programmers, or has the AI system taken over control?

Weird things are happening, everybody hang on to your safety belts!

I was thinking this myself. I wonder if sellers will have to contact eBay as the defect(s) occur?  Or maybe a blanket no OOS defects counted from the time this mess started until it is resolved?  I do think sellers will have protection from defects because this is  an eBay glitch...I just wonder how they will get it.

Re: Check your listings that roll over every 30 days

Most likely through the SOP of "asking to be added to the list"?
