Chat with the Community Team...Hmmm...

Reading all the requests and questions of the latest chat from today's chat has left me stooped to where are the answers...I will be waiting and watching...for what really is and what really isn't...just a lot of loose ends nothing concrete here...!

Re: Chat with the Community Team...Hmmm...

SOP!

Lots of shoulder shrugs, "i dunnos", "never heard of it", "we'll get back to you"....... please.  Stop me if you heard these before.

Here's the truly dumbfounding thing.  Within minutes of posting the new user agreement, lots of very simple questions came up that, one would think, the braintrust that comes up with these doozies might just spend a few minutes brainstorming answers to beforehand!!

Amazing!!  And folks wonder where all the trust is going!

If you can find a solid answer in a Chat, you're doing better than most.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Re: Chat with the Community Team...Hmmm...

The way Devin is leading this company, it is no wonder why employees have no answers, there is a lack of leadership coming from the very top of eBay, the new policies are evident of a lack of vision and wisdom, eBay needs new leadership now !!

"it is no wonder why employees have no answers,...."

That's just it.  They DO have answers.  The correct answer is e) all of the above!  It's the equivalent of todays new math.  Just have to be close!

Ha!!  New policies!!  Wet myself with this one.  Why not dust off some of the old ones and try those out, just once!!  Yeah.  Sure.  Monitor my ebay communications back and forth with a potential buyer for fraud detection, yet hogtie me, as a seller, disabling me, or at the very least have a defect held over my head should I take it upon myself to cancel a transaction with a buyer I might find questionable?!?

Give me one yuuuuuge break!!!

Frankly, I wouldn't trust ebay to find a penny in the corner of a round room!!  Much like weakly chat, it'd be fun to watch though!!

Re: Chat with the Community Team...Hmmm...

Leadership is responding to questions about the terrible spam filled search engine that features decals for Otterbox cases instead of the Otterboxes themselves, this repeats itself across the entire product spectrum.

Leadership is responding to the questions sellers ask every day on this forum, eBay does not need 'chats' to see the issues, the leaders simply need to read this forum and respond here.

We know by the goofy new policies eBay dumps on sellers that there is a lack of solid leadership by top eBay executives, they don't communicate with sellers, they like to try to manipulate the seller base which shows a glaring lack of leadership.

The Board of Directors needs to take a long look at the executives at the top of eBay and make some hard decisions quickly.

They said they'll figure it out "soon"... in a couple of days... after they lock the chat and the Speical Discussion... so that you can't complain, correct them, or seek any further clarification.  At that point, you'll have to ask your questions here.  And I predict they'll move your question to the locked Board to prevent any further discussion of it.

Re: Chat with the Community Team...Hmmm...

I missed it today but just read the first few pages - goodluck asks about being able to post questions before chat - criminy - I talked to Jeff about that multiple times and nothing was done - hopefully something will be acted upon.

I can't believe a business that does not inform it's community relations team of the updates and the specifics. I'm really surprised that Ebay is still alive and kicking sometimes!

Patterns specifically for Barbie that can't use Barbie in the title even though that is what the item is described as on the package - too many bots and not enough common sense!

Everytime I read "best practices", that is ebay speak for zero common sense.
