I have lost more more money on eBay than I made for bogus chargers

Charges

Just for starters - get rid of the auctions style listing you selected - you have  sold items  at or near you minimum price  of 99 cents - can't buy  two postage  stamps for that - they are 73 cents each now.  Forget the best offer feature - you are wide open to receiving discounted offer = reduced  profit.  Go to fixed price options sell at a  fair market price that provides you  a decent profit.

In a nut shell you are your worst enemy.  The  2 negs comments don't help your  situation either  didn't  see your  reply to those "bogus" claims  - silence is not always golden.

"Stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution." A. Einstein

The account you have now is poisoned, mostly because you did not understand what you were getting into.

Stop using it for selling.

You don't have to close it, perhaps it can be a posting account  or a buying account.

Start again with a new account.

You will need another credit card number, but you can use the same address, personal name, and bank account.

Don't open a Store.

You have 250 FREE listings without one.

Don't use Auctions.

Those are for scarce items or items with a strong following, mostly collectibles.

Do learn what fees you will be paying.'

Learn how Managed Payments works, particularly the Hold on customer payments to new sellers.

Until you've been selling for 90 days and sold 25 items your payments will be held until tracking shows delivered, or in 30 days if there's no tracking. They can hold the payment for the full 30 days if you're selling in a high risk category.

In spite of this, we ship when our customer pays, not when eBay transfers those payments to our checking account.

@monroe67 ,

I think OP means bogus charges. The OP probably doesn't know the FVF is charged on shipping and taxes.

You've received some very good advice and information from other posters.  One of the most dangerous things a new seller can do is ASSUME they know something that they don't.  Things on Ebay, the rules, are not aways as you might think they are and it is important that you LEARN the rules.  One of the most BASIC things you should learn BEFORE starting to list is the fees you will pay for selling here.

Here are some important links to areas you should really take the time to learn about as a new seller.

And make sure you know this policy extremely well.
