Changing store name and will my url upate to new store name?

I've been reading some past posts that mention I'll need to close my ebay store (if i want to rename it), and open a new one so the url matches. 

Is this true?

Changing the store name will not change the URL.

If you want them to match, you have to close the store and open a new one.
