Due to new tax changes... how do I go about changing from personal to business account without Ebay removing my earned scores? There are two ways which confused me. One was to just go to 'Account' and change to 'Business' Name. I guess it'll ask me which type or store subscription level? I do wish to change my current 'Personal' name (Seller's name?) but will this remove all scores? Or Two, change my Seller's (Personal Name) name now before switching over to 'Business' account without going back to '0' scores.
Do I sound confused? Yes, I am. Keep on getting mixed up with ID/Username, Seller's Name, Business Name or even Store Name. I guess that Business account would be my Store name.

It appears you may have some misinformation or you misunderstood something.
What "new tax changes" are you referring to @angel4ever2b ?
What are "earning scores"?
Changing from a personal to a business account does not remove ANY information from your account. It all remains the same.
I operate as a Sole Proprietorship, so my Business Name is my name.
You do not have to have a Store of any level to be a Business account.
"I do wish to change my current 'Personal' name (Seller's name?) but will this remove all scores?" NOTHING changes on your account that is visible to anyone viewing your listings. Your feedback remains the same as does your selling history.
" Or Two, change my Seller's (Personal Name) name now before switching over to 'Business' account without going back to '0' scores. "
You do not have to change your Seller ID at all. You don't have to change your bank account or anything else. It can all remain exactly like you have it now before changing to a Business account.

What "new tax changes" are you referring to?
You don't currently have a Store subscription, and you don't need one in order to register as a business with eBay or to switch from personal to bueiness.
eBay business accounts are best suited to sellers who are already operating as a business outside of eBay. That's the business name that eBay would expect you to enter.
If you switch from personal to business account, there will be no effect on your feedback history.

Yes, I'm very confused. Sorry if I'm confusing everyone.
Earning scores... Feedback Scores. I don't have a lot because I don't sell a lot but now, as years have gone by and the possibility of moving, I have lots more to sell and need to get started on posting.
I have 250 FREE listings every month and beyond that, I'll be charged a listing fee. I do have many more items I wish to sell so with having a Store, I can list more items for minimal fee. And, I currently have been buying a lot of packaging materials.
The tax thing is about selling $600+ on gross sales on Ebay and all other platforms (which I don't have) and they'll send the 1099 Form? Will that change next year?

NOTHING changes on your account when you switch from Personal to a Business account. NOTHING will change. You are way over thinking this.
Changing your account from personal to Business will NOT affect your taxes.
The 1099K is merely a FORM and nothing more than a FORM. With or without it, sellers should be claiming their sales here and anywhere else on their income tax forms.
Myth: If taxpayers didn't receive a Form 1099-K, they don't have to report income.
Fact: According to federal law, all income is taxable unless it is specifically excluded by tax law. Taxpayers should report any profits from selling goods or services, regardless of if they receive a Form 1099-K.
Just change your account to Business. It will not harm you or make you lose anything in any way.

That is not a new tax thing. Whether you have a personal or business account with eBay will have no effect on whether or not you get a 1099-K from eBay, and no effect on how the IRS sees your tax liability or eligibility to take expense deductions. There's just no connection, so that should not be a consideration when thinking about business/personal.
OTOH, if you're going to list more than 250 items then a store might be a good idea BUT first you should check your listing limits. Those won't be affected by signing up for a Store and could prevent you from making good use of those extra free insertions.

Did Free Listings go up to 300 October 1st?
Well regardless, say I sold 50 this month (October). I would not be able to replace that 50 by month's end, if not I'll be charged for listing, correct? I would have to wait for November to add 50. BUT, another 300 Free Listings will also be added? Is that how it works? So, I'll have 600 Listings in November?
What confused me in the past, I was being charged so maybe I was replacing my listings before month's end.

You don't need a Store of any level until you are sure you will consistently have 300+ listings running each month. When ready, start with a Basic Store, it will give you plenty of listings.
A Basic store has 1,000 free listings and another 10,000 in specific categories which you sell in plenty of them.
Watch this tile in your Seller Hub. It tells you all you need to know about available listings.

I should stop researching and listen to you. I read an article that said Free Listings October 1st went up to 300 for Private Sellers. Mine is still at 250. I definitely have more to sell and definitely was considering the Basic Store.
Considering changing my Username. It was my dog's Title name but she passed away 2007. And/or a Store name. The Username edit is not allowing me to have spaces between words. Will the Store name allow me to have spaces? Jus wonderin.

That might be for Sellers in the UK. In the US, the monthly free insertions remains at 250 for sellers who have no Store subscription, or a "Starter" subscription. "Private Sellers" is a UK term. They use "business sellers" the way we use "Store" subscribers. Here are links to UK fees Help pages.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4822
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/selling-fees/store-fees?id=4809
Each of your 250 free insertions can be used for a new listing, a relist, or when a fixed price listing rolls over each month. Any fixed price listings which aren't sold in October will roll over in November and will use up one of your 250 free insertions at that time.

No wonder things get confusing. UK different from US. Hmm 🤔
Thanks for your help. You know, I do procrastinate a lot and have been pondering about whether to have a store or not as I do have a lot of stuff around the house and most are not mine's. 😂

"Private sellers" is not a term used on the USA site, but I think it is on the UK site. So you may just be getting yourself confused.
If you do a Basic store, you want to run 300+ listings ALL the time to make it worth the money for the store.
Why change your user name? I've often considered it over the years. When I set mine up it was commonly recommended to use your initials and zip code. Which clearly I did. Unfortunately my initials suggest that I might be a rather formal type person, which I'm not remotely close to that. But I never changed my ID because I have a long history under this name. While I wouldn't lose any of that history changing my ID, my repeat customers may not recognize me.
My avatar is my two dogs, I always called them my Puppies. We lost Suka, our boy about 5 years ago and our beautiful girl Ohana a couple years ago this week. They will forever be my puppies.
What do you mean by more spaces if you have a store. Could you be more specific please.
