Changing an address on a shipping label per costumer request.

Ebay Labels will not let me print a label that the shipping is via of Fed-ex and needs an address change.

Only ship to the address that was on their payment, otherwise you void your seller protection

Ebay Labels will not let me...

Lucky you since it would void your seller protection. Cancel the order and have your buyer repurchase correctly.

I had no problem changing the address when I changed and shipped USPS. This was never a problem 6 or 8 months ago. The change was at Buyer request. I guess you can't buy a Christmas present for someone and have it shipped direct by Fedex just by USPS.

Since you will lose your seller protection if you ship to a different address than the one eBay gave you which is the address the buyer confirmed on eBay checkout, it is best to cancel the transaction due to problem with buyer's address and relist as a Buy It Now and let buyer purchase again.  This time he needs to edit the shipping address on eBay check out.

Question should be: Are you getting these requests to change address through eBay messaging or an email? The buyer needs to add the address they wish to ship to BEFORE paying. You can have more than one ship to addresses, I have 4.

You should communicate with these buyers and let them know they need to add the new address before paying then mark that address as their ship to address because how eBay is setup, sellers have to ship to address provided and cannot change it. Tell them you can either ship to the one original provided, or you can cancel the sale (using either buyer requested or problem with address) and them have them rebuy after adding the correct address.

Are you sure it was the buyer who made the request. (I recommend you look at the order and compare ID that bought the item to the ID that requested the address change.)

If it's not the same ID, the one who requested the change is trying to scam you and isn't the real buyer.

If it is the same ID, you need to let the buyer know that you'll have to cancel the order and they can rebuy it, correcting/changing their address before putting through the payment.
