Changing a return to a partial refund

Hello,

I had a customer who wanted to return an item and I sent a return postage.

Given all the Corona developments lately, we both agreed that it would be easier for him to just keep the item and get a partial refund.

Is there a way for me to cancel the return/refund and instead issue a partial refund? I don't necessarily need to get money for the postage back (although that would be nice), but I don't see any way to cancel the return once it was started.

Thanks.

Re: Changing a return to a partial refund

@adtete0  Someone more experienced will know better than me on this probably.  I believe if you want to do a partial refund on an accepted return you will have to do the refund directly through PayPal.  Then with the return itself just let it time out on its own and do nothing with it.  If you do the partial refund outside of eBay you won't get your final value fees back.  I believe you can email (Since no phone support) eBay and ask for a partial credit on the final value fees.
