Changes that should be changed back? 1. The new roll out for stores is just adding an extra step, instead of just going to the description it takes you to a pop up where you have a choice to go to description or add to cart, it is just an extra step, which was not and is not needed, EXTRA STEPS!!!!!
2. When listing an item, if you want to change fonts or colors, instead of having template above the description box, you have to first go to a show all options box, which takes you to a show more options box, which in turn you can get to the template for changing items in description, 2 extra steps this time, EXTRA STEPS!!!!
3. And could there be anymore item specifics to list, soon they will want us to list the thread count on the buttons sewn on jersey's and shirts. EXTRA STEPS!!!!
Also when implementing their new ideas, it has affected our sales and views, anybody else seeing this? I 'm just looking for input on some of these topics, they just seem to make listing that much harder and slower. And please let me know if there are things that slow us down that I didn't list. Thanks and have a great rest of the week.

Not to mention that it's encouraging to buyers to purchase without reading the description NOR all the item specifics you're required to add. It seems that this will discourage buyers from shopping from the individual store.

YES! this one gets me. Select 'see more options', and ebay can't just show them to you, they have to ask you EVERY SINGLE TIME, if you want to continue. Whether they like the added colors and fonts or not, it should be available all the time without choosing one button, let alone two!
I understand they think they know what buyers prefer, yet they also tell sellers to put in as much info as possible. Placing ALL this info in one long block is a guarantee that is won't get read. Throw in some larger fonts and or colors to break up the text and the buyer is more likely to find what they need.
Then to further discourage using different sized text, you get the size 14 they want you to use, no size 16, you get 18, no 20, no 22, but then you can use a giant 24 sized font. And although I don't use colored font, why is there no true red or green, just a burgundy and other shades of green?
I suppose going the html route might work, but that's just more work, so using templates or just doing it their way are the options.

At least some of the item specifics aren't mandatory. So many sellers aren't accurate anyway. I search for a wool blanket, the item specific says wool, yet the tag shown or the description says wool blend. Same with socks. They may think putting wool in without the full accurate information gets them viewed and purchased, when it's just going to get them an INAD.

I'm not sure how it affects views or sales except that listing takes longer, so there are less listings to view and buy. It does make listing harder and slower, which I believe is the point. If we want to list faster, we use ebay's non option options. These would be great things to bring up in the live chat later today at 1pm PT.
Glad I'm not the only one not liking the choices in the description box.

My biggest challenge is understanding business policies. Why do they exist? They are implied and present without having to extoll their virtues.

I get business policies, as I have a lot of shipping choices, are you referring to something else? I also have yet to research what calculated and promotional shipping rules are, and how to set them up.

Some people like them - I've never qualified for business policies and don't need them, but have read they create a lot of problems (mass replication, etc.), so just as well, I guess.

Still no changes, does ebay not here us or read anything put in the comments on the community site? This new roll out is ridiculous, why the extra step ebay? Is there a reason why we have to be taken to your silly pop up rather than right to actual item. Seems you find ways to slow us down(prior posts), it makes things more complicated, which in turn, scares off potential new sellers and buyers. BE BETTER EBAY!

And no more underline option.

This one is easy to get around....go back to one of your old listings where you have the fonts and colors you used to use and just copy and paste in the new listing you are creating, then go over it and and apply your new description. Once you get that far you can tinker with it till you get your desired appearance, BUT remember always leave one digit in the color and size and font that you want and work from that one, if not you will lose the HTML(helps a lot to have been around back in the days of DOS and writing & understanding HTML) thread that dictates those markers. Once you get the hang of it it will be a breeze.

While the new pop up window is novel I do have issues with it, and a HUGE one, It provides very little information other than the headline and picture and purchase ability AND becomes the buyers duty to find the items description text body. This while many fail to read much farther than the picture, purchase an item and when they get it find it is not what they were expecting, where if they would have read the description body text that also in ebay motors case contains the fitment compat chart...this can and will cause item not as described claims, thou it was accurately described in the body of the text, which is why that is there in the first place..and when you get a question like what color are your RED floor mats...you know there is trouble ahead..
