I made a mistake on a measurement on a clothing listing and have been trying to reach the buyer to see if they still want the item or want a refund and they are not responding. I don’t want to mail the item out with a known mistake. Do I just keep trying to reach the buyer through the platform?

How long have you been waiting for a reply?
If the measurement error is significant I would wait until you hear something from the buyer.

Either cancel sale or ship by your "ship" date. You will get a 'ding' for cancelling; but if it's not a habit, no big deal- better than a neg and a return.
Doing 'nothing but waiting' should not be an option.

A week tomorrow. I have sent out several messages explaining my error and asking the buyer if they still want it but they’re not responding. I think I’m just gonna wait until they respond. thank you

What reason do I use for canceling a sale?

For your error - out of stock. Make sure if you cancel you send her a note letting her know you cancelled because you did not hear back that the error was OK. (If it's significant, it probably isn't OK... if you shipped me a size less than I wear I would not be happy, even though it's only one dress size, likewise if it's a size too big I won't like how it looks on me).
Keep in mind, if you ship and get a return, or cancel and not ship, she can still leave negative feedback stating it was a disappointing experience and you will not be able to have that removed. You have to weigh the odds.
If it were me, I'd send the item and let the buyer inspect it and let them know they will get a return label if it doesn't work for them so they won't be paying return shipping costs, and that I'd refund them in full. I sell collectables though, not clothing, so your mileage may vary. Any time I've caught damage at the time of shipping (things get damaged in storage sometimes when stuff is moved around), I let the buyer inspect the item and decide if they want it. That way they can determine in person if the mistake is acceptable. Anything else is a guessing game.

So it has been (6) days since the sale ended? When were you supposed to ship your item to the Buyer?
There should be a phone number on your order receipt that you can readily access/print for this order (same as when you are printing a packing slip)
Give your buyer a call. Maybe their emails are going to a spam folder or they changed their email and never updated e-Bay. If you do not reach your buyer, you really need to cancel your order for this buyer due to the timeline.
Good luck!
