Cannot update my account details

EBay is suppressing my listings from being sold, because I go to UPDATE ACCOUNT DETAILS, try to put in my address info of 13 years, and EBay won't accept my own address information.  I live in a small town where USPS mail is not delivered.  Also, because the mail is not delivered, the USPS GPS system doesn't recognize any addresses here.  USPS was too lazy to bother with it.  But yet, this USPS system is what EBay programmers insist on using.

I'm now told by EBay phone personnel to enter a BOGUS address that is not mine.  But that should get my update all done!  What?  Is this the new EBay business model... I'm to use a bogus address of someone else because I live somewhere that requires PO Boxes, and we must all go get our mail in this town.

Can anyone verify that EBay is really suggesting that I enter an address from a different town and ZIP CODE, someone else's, to get past a problem of their creation?  I've tried for months now to enter my actual address, and cannot get past that page, or finish the process.  Is this really my only solution -- where is their collective head at?

Where do you get your mail? Others have used the street address of their PO with their box number.

No one at EBay phone service has ever suggested that I use my Post Office address.  That's a new one. And if you put in POB number as secondary, it still wouldn't go through.  Do you realize that your additional suggestion is just as unprofessional of EBay as all this other try-this/try-that.  I've used EBay since the year 2000, and 13 years at MY present own address.  What a joke EBay programmers are.  Most of us learn to consider all options possible, prior to programming for it. "Lame" is the nicest word for EBay unprofessional practices that I can use.

Use the address as listed on your bank account

Rebel's suggestion is to use the mailing address of the actual physical post office (street address) with #4 ( like if your PO box is 4)

Like if you drove to the PO, it would be located at

123 Main Street

# (insert PO box #)

Your City, Your State, Zip

Others who have posted here have stated that has worked.

Sellers who post here are seasoned Sellers/Volunteers.  They are not paid and are kind enough to offer assistance when asked.

That's the same address that won't go into the EBay system.  My bank lists my PO Box as my address, so they can mail to me.  They're smarter .... they know people here must have PO Boxes to receive mail.  I tried to tell EBay that the very same address info they deny me using is what is on my bank records.  Believe me, I've brought it all up to them.  They throw up their hands and try to say, oh well.

I'll apologize to everyone but EBay.  Sorry, Rebel.  Don't know what I said.  A lot of people try victim blaming.  But, I've told EBay how they can fix their problem -- they don't listen.  I am frustrated.  Just make the d**n thing easy to enter your very own address, morons!  And don't suggest to me that I just pick an address in another town, where mail is delivered.

On the bright side you have us! I'm also glad you apologized so I assume everyone is good now, and you got your answer resolved by rebel or someone of the ladder?
