I havent sold in a long time but paying 24.95 a month to keep my Ebay store. I am about to get going again and noticed My Ebay store is repeating that I need the 3rd party host Photobucket 500. Apparently if I want a store with my logo's and access to upload photos to Ebay to sell my auctions I have to pay 399.99 through Photobucket now?! I found an old April photobucket memo offering it for 147.97 which is still good. I want to know if anyone else seller uses Photobucket with a store and photos to upload that this is the new outrageous charge? Any Help is appreciated! I will check back as it is the 4th of JULY! Happy 4th 🙂 Donna

You can still use HTML in your listings. eBay does not block or ban most standard HTML. The problem that you are having with photobucket is unfortunate, but if you can find a different image host that supports https (or simply use eBay image hosting or abandon images down in your description), you should be able to move forward.

Paying anything for photo hosting is a rip off. There are a ton of other sites that offer photo hosting for absolutely free. After what photobucket did to their users, I wouldn't give them a dime.

If the reason you "need" to use a photo hosting site is because you list from a phone and have no computer, I'd say buy a computer and laptop and host your own photos and do your eBay listing from it. A couple hundred bucks for a used machine will pay for itself in no time.

I am seeing E Bay does not want active content in your listings as it could be a secuirty breach and cell phones can't work with it. So Am I with the understanding that means ALL HTML as I use them for TEMPLATES to design mt auction to look nice is now forbidden? Or does that mean you have to pay as Photobucket a 3rd party to use it on Ebay? I as well use picture trail and p[hotobucket for template design and picture uploads. Please let me know if I no longer can use HTML codes. If so I have to cancel my ebay store as it is existing right now without any use with Large Blue and white lettering saying contact Photobucket/ 500 for 3rd party use 400.00 a year.

Thank you very much! I was a bit schocked to see that Photo bucket want to call it 3ed party hosting to charge so much a year but understand that Ebay made this chose because mobile phones could not easily load the auctions with the HTML and added photo's. I will use your way for sure. Take care and I appreciate it!

Just upload the pics to Ebay from your computer. There's no need to use a 3rd party site. There are also plenty of other free hosting sites you can use.
FWIW, Imgur and Ebay do not play well together.
