I have a buyer who bought two of the same thing in separate transactions minutes apart. In the earlier transaction, the buyer files a cancellation request with the reason "Won't arrive on time." I never knew that was even a valid reason as I'm pretty sure buyers can see the ETA in various areas before they complete the purchase.
The latter transaction has no cancellation request at all. Both transactions have the same shipping address. I'm pretty sure this latter purchase has the same delivery time as the first one.

I'd email the buyer to make sure they realize the ETA on the second order. They may have overlooked it. It is better to be safe than sorry and end up with a claim to deal with later. Just be polite and professional. Tell them you just wanted to make sure there wasn't any confusion since they cancelled the first order for not being able to arrive on time. At least that is what I'd do.

It's nice to know that i'm not the only one with these kind of customers...

As mentioned, it wouldn't hurt to ask, but maybe they just realized they bought two by mistake and picked the first reason they came to when asking to cancel. It's not like the reasons make any difference anyway.

...........general reply...........
lets make it harder to figure out.did the buyer cancel the 1st one and then buy the second.
did they buy 2 of them in seperate transaction and only ask to cancel 1 as you said.
maybe they canceled and then changed there minds and went and bought another.
so much to think about..........................

I had one like this a week or so ago. I got a cancellation on just one. I forget the reason, but I cancelled both "assuming he thought the cancel order would get both" (I actually did not want to risk sending it and then having him return it) I emailed him and told him I got the cancellation and cancelled both items. If he changed his mind he was welcome to repurchase the correct items or just one.
I did not have time to email him and wait for his answer initially. The handling time requirement and metrics if you miss your handling time are not something I wish to deal with.
Haven't heard from him at all.

Well at least it was before you shipped it out. Hope the 2nd sale goes as planned.

The OP said it was two separate transactions in his first statement.

Yea what mam said. But you got me thinking about the timing more. So it turns out the buyer purchased the first one... minutes later filed a cancellation saying “won’t arrive on time”. Then minutes after that cancellation request they purchased the same item again... same shipping service, same shipping address.
I messaged them but got no reply. I was forced to send it out today. We’ll see what happens.

You cross your fingers and I'll cross mine too, hopefully this will turn out OK for you. I think it will.
