Cancelations and total sales

I just have a question that has been bothering me.

I had someone buy something for $199.99 ,then cancel it, in Feb.  The question is will eBay deduct it from the, total sales for the month?

Thanks

If you did a refund, then it will not be deducted. Print out that refund and keep it for your taxes.

Hi, not sure if i am understanding the question. Are you asking if the canceled transaction will be deducted from your total dollar payouts,  or seller limits, or something else?

Cancelations and total sales

Thanks for the reply's from everyone.

In seller hub, under performance ,then sales.  Then I do this month, for generate report, I see nothing about cancelations.  I can get hundreds of dollars in cancelations each month.  I don't see it mentioned in the report. ( my original question was is it deducted from the report ahead of time)  and if it's not I thought eBay was making are taxes easier?

Thanks

Cancelations and total sales

For 2021 cancellations where the buyer payment posted, those are shown as income on your 1099-k and are NOT removed.  You have to manually subtract your posted cancellations elsewhere in your tax forms in returns and cancels to take that income back off.

If the buyer ordered but never paid then that is not on the 1099.  The only thing to deduct in that case is any fees that were not refunded.
