Cancel/Refund an order>

Hello,

Sorry. I only started selling more frequently and this is my first encounter with cancellations. Will eBay charge me fees if I refund a buyer? I had a buyer send a request to cancel that I missed. When I created a shipping label, the system automatically declined the buyers request and I realized the mistake. I already voided the label and spoke to the buyer. It seems they input the wrong address and payment information. The buyer paid and the funds are still "processing". If I refund them will it ding my account and will I still be help responsible for paying the eBay fees from the refund? Should I wait for the funds to finish processing before I refund the buyer? I don't want money pulled out of my bank account either.

Cancel it using the "Buyer asked to cancel" option. It will not affect your account. eBay will do the refunding for you and give you back any fees paid minus $.30. Just cancel and eBay will do the rest.

Ok thank you. I tried this and I was just about to submit the refund using this option. However, it showed a disclaimer that they will pull the refunds from funds available for payout, but the funds show as "processing" not available for payout yet. Does this matter?

At this point, it does not. They may go to your checking account for the $.30 Transaction Fee, but that's the worst of it.
