Can/will ebay transfer/alter prior sales numbers from listings?

I have a feeling the answer is NO but, can/will ebay transfer sales numbers from one listing to another?

I had a RED widget listed by itself for a while. Let's say i sold 10 of them.

I had a GREEN widget listed by itself for  while.  Let's say i sold 10 of them. 

The reason they were listed separately is that i never seemed to have both colors in stock at the same time.  Now i do have them both in stock.   Now i have both RED and GREEN widgets on a variation listing. Let's say i sold 10 RED and 10 GREEN on this new variation listing.

Can/will ebay transfer those earlier sales numbers to to my new variation listing so it looks like i sold 20 RED and 20 GREEN?

You are correct, the answer is no.

The reason is, those prior listings were separate listing numbers from the now multi-variation listing, so there is no capability to transfer that data over.

Thank god ebay is not involved in the space program.
