I tried to list a collectible item today but couldn't because it had the word Indian in the title. I was trying to list a Royal Indian Elephant. But those eBay bots are so stupid that they can't imagine that Indian does not always mean Native American Indian. I cannot list my item in the category for Native American because that is inaccurate. The use of the word Indian is an accurate description so why can't I use it.

Could you do "Royal Elephant India" ?

We have had this problem several times.
We finally figured we could list without the word then after they were bot scanned, we go back and add the word.
Hope this works for you.

There should be a blue button that will allow you to continue to list. It appears towards the bottom of the warning. In some browsers it is off screen. You can shrink the size of the warning with the zoom in and out feature and it will show up on the screen, allowing you to press it to continue. Reset the size when done because sometimes that will interfere with other actions/features on eBay.... depending on browser.
There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.

This whole PC thing about it is ridiculous anyway. I'm Choctaw/Cherokee heritage and I live in the Choctaw Nation area of Oklahoma, which borders the Cherokee Nation.
Guess what?
THE INDIANS STILL CALL THEMSELVES INDIANS!
I don't just mean among themselves, I mean officially! Many of their services have the word Indian in the name. Even adoption code (I'm a legal assistant by day), the federal adoption code is called ICWA... Indian Child Welfare Act.

It's not a PC thing.
It's a legal thing.
eBay has an Artifacts, grave-related items, and Native American arts and crafts policy that details what is required and not allowed in listings to meet various federal laws.
https://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/artifacts.html
The warning that a seller gets when trying to list an item with the word "Indian" in the title prompts the question of whether the seller has made sure that the item follows this policy and the laws.

This. I've received the warning, but I have never been unable to list the item. The warning is on every item with "Indian" in the title, regardless of genre. Just ignore if your item is exempt.....it's a headless brainless bot warning.

I see. Without the exact wording of the warning, I made an assumption. That's on me.
(The PC thing is still getting to levels of absurdity though)
