Can't get the bulk find/replace option to work (Fixing HTTP to HTTPS)

Hi guys, hoping somebody can help me.

I have several thousand listings each with several images on them that used HTTP instead OF HTTPS

I've purchased an upgrade with my hosting provider so I can now change all the http:// to https:// and the images work.

The problem is whenever I use the find replace tool when bulk editing and try to replace http with https it acts like it's working but when everything is submitted the listings haven't actually changed. All the http:// remain.

Has anybody else got this to work or has anybody else had the same problem as me?

Anybody know the solution?

Re: Can't get the bulk find/replace option to work (Fixing HTTP to HTTPS)

I just wanted to leave an update for anybody who is interested.

I was trying to replace http:// with https://

It wasn't working

However when I tried a find and replace of http: with https: (without the dashes) it worked!

I've read that sometimes the // can affect a find and replace but I'm not sure.

Another thing I did was turn off any adblock software I was running (was built into my browser). This might also have had an effect. I'm not sure. I believe it was removing the // from the find replace string though.

Peace

use http: and https: only. the // is seen as "quoting" and messes up the search and replace.
