Can't edit item description on app without "removing all formatting"

This has been an issue for a long time but thought I would give it a shot asking the community.

I own a company on Ebay full time and have 4 full time workers who list inventory for me.

Our process is they create the listing draft on a computer with all information like title, description and so on (our description uses a basic template).

Different workers then photograph them on their iPhones and put them on a warehouse shelf.

The problem comes whenever our photographers see something on the item that was overlooked in the description and need to update the description themselves on their phones. It won't allow them to do it because it will remove the formatting and destroy the template.

Right now the photographer has to go back to the person who created the listing and have them update the description on their laptop. This is very time consuming and also allows room for mistakes or errors.

Does anyone have a solution or workaround for this besides simply not using templates?

This is a suggestion:
Revisions may work better if the photographer attempting to revise a listing uses their devices browser to revise instead of using the app. It would be just like working from a desktop or laptop. As the app can be glitchy at times.

Just taking a wild stab since I have never used eBay's Multi-User Access system. Do all of those workers have the same level of access?

The app is not "Glitchy"!

It just DOESN'T work.

 In my past experience trying to use the browser version on an iphone or tablet just reroutes to the app or the app store if you don't have the app. I last attempted this maybe 5-6 years ago so I will check it again.

Yes they do. And even I have the same issue when trying to edit from my phone. Even If say I am taking a photo and I need to read the description to make sure I know all the damage to photograph, I cannot open the description if I am in the draft edit mode without ruining the template format.

Wondering if you ever found a resolution because I have the same issue. Sometimes I write description on my laptop and sometimes on my phone. If I have originally written it on my laptop and want to read or revise on my phone it says *unsupported format, remove formatting * when I over ride it and look at description it completely messes the description up. Puts one sentence on 3 lines.

IE;

This ball is

green

and has pink sparkles

Just made up a sentence to explain. Anyone find a solution for this besides not using app?

When I asked this question a year or so ago, it was recommended I just go ahead and remove all formatting. I did that to nearly every listing. I miss my formatting, especially the  please visit my store link and large font. However it hasn't hurt my sales, and I can change the description on my phone and tablet now.
