Can't Send a Buyer an Invoice

An international buyer sent me an offer and I accepted. He says he can't find a way to pay. I tried to send him an invoice and it won't let me. I use ebay international shipping. Trying to figure it out for them.

Did you check their account status to see if they're still an active member? That's all I can think of.  I know eBay has been doing several changes on the seller platform that are glitchy.  Maybe try later, yeah?

I just went through this.  Apparently it is because of the VAT (Valued-Added Tax) which Ebay is required to collect and adds to buyers cost.  each country has a %. My buyer was in Belgium (21%) so about $60 was added to a $280 item 😞  So he understandably cancelled. 😞  

I never had an issue before this new Ebay International shipping.  I was about to ask how other sellers ship.

It's not possible to send an invoice for an EIS sales, only EIS knows hows much to charge the buyer for shipping and possible taxes.

The buyer would pay for this order the same way as any order, eBay will have sent them a total or they can go to My eBay, find the order and pay from the link there.
