Evening Folks,
This week Ebay had a 20% off promo that certain sellers participated in and we decided to purchase 2 additional chainsaws for the property.
One simply does not run and chokes out as soon as you pull the throttle...the other runs fine...like a champ but the bar oiler is not working.
So after coming in from the shop just now I decided to reach out to the seller through "Contact Seller" for advice and first I get redirected to a page that says:
Any Ideas on what I can do to contact the seller?

wrote:Hi Rainbow...will go and see if I have that option...but currently I was on my purchase page and using the drop down menu to the right....you know where you have the choice of leaving feed back...save seller...contact seller etc.
Mr C
Mr C, can you see something that says "More Actions" in the drop-down menu?
Hi Again Rainbow,
My drop down says "I'd Like Too"...
From there it gives options like:
Write a Review
View Order Details
Contact Seller
Return This Item
Report Late Delivery.
Etc...etc
When I chose contact seller I copied and pasted what it showed me when I clinked on the links up in my op.
Mr C
Wow, that is strange. Here is what I see when I click on Contact Seller for one of my purchases:

Agreed Rainbow...this a completely different.
Mr C
Edit:
I tried this multiple times through both accounts and recieved the same results.
On this posting ID I purchased one for me personally...and on the other account I purchased 2...all 3 are giving me this kind of drop down choices

Ok...just tried another approach.
Went to the actual listing and clicked on the licting link "Contact Seller" over on the right just below the sellers name and Save This Seller with the heart symbal...gave me the same results.

If it is VM, they're a big company and they probably have one of those special contracts here.

Hi Chrysylys,
Yes it's VM...can you do me a favor...go to them...or go to my feedback on this posting ID and go and look at the listing and see what you get when you click on contact seller?
Thanks

Going to their profile page and clicking 'Contact Member', I get the normal contact form where you enter text and the number challenge. I have nothing to ask them at the moment, so I don't know if it would go through or not.

The best solution right now is to open the case as gracieallen suggested. After you click on "return item" it's going to ask why. Since it doesn't work I'd go with that. I would bet the farm the seller will contact you once the case is opened. Then you can work it out and close the case if everything goes well. If not, you would need to return it anyway.
Good luck!
Hi Joe,
Well I just want to yap at them...what a pain...maybe they have a couple of quick ideas...no reason to open a return because I still want/need them so that would involve a replacement.
Crazy thing...I ordered one Thursday from both accounts at 7:08 a.m. EST...they were at my doorstep 27 1/2 hours later...no kidding, Friday 10:20 a.m.
Within minutes from the purchase they printed the label and I think they were picked up by 10 a.m. by fedex in just under 3 hours and were at our place just 24 hours later!
They were also one of the guaranteed delivery things sellers can op into.

Okay thank you...your probably getting that because you didn't purchase the item already and because I have I am on the "After Sale" prompt

Try this. Go to Advanced search, Find A Member, enter the ID and the captcha, click on the ID that pops up, then Ask seller or contact seller.

While I'm impressed with their delivery speed, I can't understand why there is no way to contact them. Are they a big box that may have blocked contact from buyers? I know if I got something that didn't work and I couldn't contact the seller, I would need to do something to get his attention. My main goal would also be trying to resolve the problem with some technical advice without having to return for replacement. Then I would close out the case. But I can't understand why there is no means to message them.
This seems like a really odd glitch...even for here.

Hi Orchid,
Thank you...did this as a round about which did eventually take me to the seller.
Final results...exactly the same...gave me the notice about FAQ as in my first post and then when I clicked on that link...I recieved the same error message.
Interesting though...this seller has 2 stores...the chainsaw I purchased through this posting ID,and is running great, is from their main one and the other 2 are from their deals site...those that know this vendor understand what I mean.
I just went to the one associated to this posting ID and I actually can get through to ask a question...just not through their other selling account.

You are going to a seller's FAQ site.
![]()
This seller offers frequently asked questions (FAQs) on their site. Here you may quickly find answers to your general questions, product-specific questions, or shipping information. Click the "Find Answers" button to continue. Please note that this page may take several seconds to load.
Then when I click on this link it takes me to another page that says:We're sorry -- an error occured.
The page you're trying to reach is temporarily unavailable or the page may no longer exist.
Please try one of the following:
- Click your browser's Refresh button to try reconnecting.
- Check the spelling of the URL to make sure the address is correct (capitalization and punctuation are important) and then click your browser's Refresh button.
- Click your browser's Back button to return to the previous page.

Hi Mr C, I just went to your feedback, saw their ID, clicked on their feedback, clicked on "contact member" got a box that asked if it was about an item, I clicked NO and the box to contact them & ask my question came right up.

I wasn't really aware of the second store. I found it on the list of vendors for the 20% off coupon, clicked through to their FB, then Contact Member and get as far as the screenshot, but didn't submit it.

Mornin,
Tried again a short bit ago and still get the same results as yesterday and the recap is:
I can easily navigate "Contact Seller" for the chainsaw purchased through this posting ID which was to the sellers main store.
Still get the error message when trying to contact the seller for the other 2 chainsaws purchased through our other ID on their "deals" store. Also get a completely different drop down menu and optional choices than the first one that I am so familiar with.
