Hey, guys.
I'm currently based in Venezuela and ship my items from here but due to some inconvenients (shipment rates became too expensive) I have to find a provider which makes my products in China so I would be shipping my stuff from there. Since I'm in Venezuela, I wanted to know if it's illegal to ship from a different address than listed on my registration information. If so, should I change it to China where actually the items will come from?
Besides, buyers will see in the listing that items "come from Venezuela" and they will be actually coming from China.
Thanks in advance for your advices.
Best regards.
Andry.

You can be registered in one location and ship from another. Your listing needs to show an accurate shipping location though. You can edit this on the listing form - you may need to use the advanced form instead of the quick form. You can read more about eBay's policy here.
It will be just as important for you to comply with eBay's policies on drop shipping that you can read about here.

Thank you for your prompt response, I'll do that.
I was looking for it but I couldn't find it.
Could you please tell or show me (in order to modify the shipping location) how to get this advanced listing form and where exactly this field is?
Thank you.
Regards.

You have to use a computer - the advanced listing form is not available on the app. Open up the listing form and on the top right there will be a link that says switch to advanced (or business) tool. Go to that link and the location information will be near the bottom of the form. If it's not showing then on the top of the form click the customize link so you can add that field to the listing form.
But as I said earlier, make sure you are in compliance with eBay's strict rules about drop shipping.

Not so fast,... It sounds like you will be drop shipping with your new direction? I would spend some time and make sure you are following the drop shipping rules here at eBay.

That's right, I'd be dropshipping from my new direction. The provider sells the product that I need on this marketplace, Aliexpress.
But this concerns me: "However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay"
So, this what I want to do would be illegal after all?

I'm not sure 'illegal' is the proper term to describe it. It is against ebay 'policy'. There is a difference.

With drop shipping you are in business with a drop shipper and are listing items available that are fulfilled directly from a wholesale supplier, which is allowed on eBay.
What's not allowed is listing something you don't have and that can't be fulfilled until you purchase it from someone else after the buyer pays you and have it shipped to your buyers address.
As long as you are able to import the AliExpress products you are drop shipping to your eBay store you can sell them. Just remember you are responsible for your shipping locations, shipping times and choose products from businesses that don't have a lot of backorders...that can kill your business.

From what I read of this post and your replies it does appear to me that what you propose would be against eBay policies. I think others have been very tolerant in providing information.
My bottom line is that you should NOT do this. First, buyers HATE drop shipping and drop shippers. It is this kind of "game" that many play that inevitably gets discovered and gives eBay and sellers a bad reputation. Second, when you go purchase and item you just sold and ask that seller to ship to your customer, you have given up control over the process. Now when there is a return filed for a SNAD reason YOU are responsible for paying for the return shipping to China and or are giving a full refund. Me, I sure do not want to "hand over" control of my business to some unknown seller or handler. Several mistakes by your merchant can lead to big trouble for you and your selling privileges.
Look, being in business is not a static thing: situations change and the business needs to adapt. So if shipping from your country is too expensive for that item, then the business needs to find items that CAN be shipped economically. Maybe that item can no longer be sold by you? The "fix" is NOT to deceive buyers with some drop shipping scheme.
If you think this is such a great idea then place in a prominent location in your listing a clear statement that this item is drop shipped from a 3rd party vendor and not from your control. Be clear that you will be purchasing the item from a vendor and asking them to ship the item for you to your buyer. If this statement of clarity prevents sales and you can't succeed with full truthful disclosure, then you should not be operating this way.

In my opinion your new direction would be against eBay policy, but if you want to work with a wholesale supplier and have a contract made with the supplier that you are approved to sell there item on eBay and they will handle the fulfillment then you could move forward without worry.
Aliexpress is a marketplace just like eBay is a marketplace so by the definition this would be against eBay policy from my viewpoint.

You need to check Ebay policies.

I will purchase my items from a Wholesale supplier.
Best decision ever.
As we are in a threshold to get China eliminated as a cheap resource for items due to the disgusting so cheap shipping charges they pay. You don't want to be caught in the process of delivering 100 packages that can eventually be returned because the shipping charges have changed and your buyers will get a request to pay for the difference.
