Is there any way to remove the "People who shopped for this item also looked at" section on my summary?
I bought some men's socks. Now there are pictures of items I don't want to see, and that I would never shop for, on my page. It's nasty.
I don't know why eBay can't just happily take my money and leave me alone. Do I have to agree to being potentially offended in order to shop here? Is there any way to remove this stuff?
Thanks for any help you can offer. I'm disgusted.
*** I posted this on another board, which apparently goes nowhere and nobody reads it, following eBay prompts. They gave me a congratulatory 1st Post Badge. I don't even know what that is - I'd just like a respectful answer, if anyone could, please.

Hi, aks. Not to go off topic...would that be the same kind of tool as Ad Blocker Plus? Which I have. TIA.

Morning, il2. Last year I purchased some Nick & Nora women's flannel PJs. Below what I purchased were images of almost naked Chinese women in various poses. I complained to eBay and alerted the seller since she only sold PJs. Nothing done. So I feel for you. Not suggesting you click on one of those images, but possibly China related. But I wouldn't click on them as once you click they may follow you forever if you know what I mean. P.S. since when are diabetic socks considered undergarments? lol.

Go to your My eBay page, click on Recently Viewed in the left column, and then click on Clear All in the top right corner. Once the listings are not in your history anymore, you should not get any more suggestions related to those listings.
Here's a direct link to that page:

If there's anything on that page you might be interested in later, put it onto your Watch list before you click on Clear All.

Hey, Lace. In all my years here I have never clicked on recently viewed as they are usually on the left of my screen in a vertical summary. THANK YOU!!! I just cleared out 14 pages of it. Plus, not all did I "personally" view since when you click on someone's sold item, you have to also click see original listing, but the item ebay suggested before you click on see original listing is the one placed in Recently Viewed (which I never viewed lolol). Thanks again. Learn something everyday around here.

Hi @abfabvintage, that section hasn't been there all that long, so it's not surprising you haven't seen it before. A year or two, maybe?
I remember we found it when a bunch of posters inadvertently viewed a link to a porn listing ... one guy was expecting to get yelled at by his partner ... until we figured out how to get rid of it.

I think you've nailed the problem right there.
I was going to suggest looking up some innocuous items, which should push the ones with the nasty links further down your history stack and eventually off altogether, but I think the method above is a more direct solution. (It would be nice if one could pick and choose which Recently Viewed items to delete and which ones to save, but I don't see any functionality for doing that.)

Thx again. But I just realized, is the OP talking about those large item blocks below the listing: More from this same seller, or the "this item was purchased along with"...? Thought I should ask unless the OP clicked on the actual block, then it would go into the Recently viewed? Duh to me lolol

Wow. I never knew we could clear (or even see) the list. Not that I want to clear mine. lol
I was trying to remember the name of something I viewed the other day and couldn't find it until your directions.
No more Watch List for me ... I don't want unsolicited emails from sellers who can see I have their items in my Watch List asking me if I'm interested.
Thanks!!

Thanks, did it. There's still a "People who shopped for this item also looked at" selection of items at the bottom, but so far they aren't offensive.
When I signed in earlier to shop, there was a guy's butt in a thong! They really like their thongs here - they just can't figure whether I want to look at men's or women's, LOL!
Truth is, I've never even looked for undergarments here, and haven't clicked on any of those items accidentally. Still can't figure why they're pushing the obscene stuff.
For those of you saying "no big deal" remember that eBay agregates these "recently viewed" and "also bought" by IP ADDRESS and will serve them up to other devices that are "associated" by IP. The other thread referenced above shows that this occurs, and can cause friction within the home. It's once again bad programming and a disfunctional AI protocol brought to you by the eBay IT team.
