Can I look up the weight and dimensions of a label for an item I already shipped?

I am not home right now but just sold an item that is similar to one sold last week. Trouble is I can't remember the dimensions of that package otherwise I could just create a label by memory without having to measure everything out when I get hone. Is there a way I could look up the weight and dimensions of the item from the shipping label from last week?

What shipping platform did you use to print your label?

Through ebay with USPS

Go to orders and select Shipping Labels.  Find your item and from the drop down on the right select Print Another Label.  The weight and size from the first label will be carried in.

eBay doesn't provide that kind of detail on the Shipping Labels page as far as I'm aware. If you had the weight and dimensions in the other listing you could click 'sell similar' and scroll down the listing form to view the info.

If you go to your SOLD item, you can go to Sell a Similar Item and then if you scroll down, you should see the dimensions and the weight that you had entered in your listing.  Then you can click on Cancel at the bottom.  Sometimes, eBay might save it as a Draft and this should motivate you to list something else.

That will carry over the dimensions from the first listing, but will not reflect any changes that the seller made before printing the first  label.

I just tried this for 4 items that all were listed as 0-1lb and the labels all showed the correct weight in ounces.  I also checked an item that was 6lbs and 14x12x10 on the listing and the re-print showed the correct 7lb (double boxed) and 16x13x10 for the size.

Reprinting a label will show the exact label. But a label can be reprinted only within 24 hours after purchase, and the OP stated that his original item was sold last week.

When I checked this, I used a label from yesterday that had been listed as a 2-pound regular Priority Mail package, but which I shipped as a Regional A package.   When I clicked on "Print another label" it brought up the regular Priority information, carried over from the listing.

Re-print vs print another label is an important technicality.

If you re-print you will see the same label but that doesn't show you dimensions, it will only show you the weight and class of mail.

If you print another label you will see the page to create a label that populates whatever info was in the listing.

hmmm, the big package was from yesterday, but the 4 <lb were from Sunday, so it's been more than 48 hours.

Went back 31 days and the <1b items still show the correct oz weight with Print Another Label, odd that you are seeing different behavior.

Was the weight entered in the listing?

I just looked at your recent listings, and they all seem to charge a flat price for shipping.

Therefore, it doesn't matter what dimensions you enter for the listing.  Just enter a rough estimate. You can enter the correct dimensions when you set up your shipping label.

The dimensions would matter if you  were setting up calculated shipping, and if there was a chance that the dimensions would result in a surcharge such as a dimensional weight or a balloon rate.  Those shoes look like the package might go over 1 cubic foot.  So IF you were offering calculated Priority Mail for those  larger items, then entering accurate dimensions would matter. Otherwise, they don't matter at all.

@partial*eclipse It appears that's whatthe OP does already and is the reason they can't print a shipping label without first measuring the box.

@grouch_douglas Just measure when you get home and create the label then. You're not shipping before you get home, right? So why does it matter if you create the label now or later?

If you continue to list without entering the weight and dimensions in the listings then you will run into this any time you want to create a label from a different location.

There are shipping services other than eBay labels that will retain information like weight and dimensions. If your goal is to always create a label immediately wherever you are while still streamlining the listing process by leaving out weight and dimensions then maybe it would benefit you to research those other shipping options.

They were set to 0-1lb and I enter the exact weight in oz once I know what size box or bubble envelope I'm using.
